Rank Name Team Vs Passing Rushing Fantasy
Yards TD 1-9 TD 11-39 TD 40+ TD Total Int Yards TD
1Manning,Peyton DENOAK360030300030
Best quarterback in the land and this is a great matchup, so what's not to like?
2Cutler,Jay CHIGBP325120310027
After a forgettable week against the Eagles, it will all be on the line in the season finale, where Cutler will redeem himself.
3Brees,Drew NOSTBB330111315027
With a trip to the playoffs on the line, the must-start Brees (knee) will bounce back in the friendly confines of the Superdome against a Buccaneers defense that ranks well below average in fantasy points allowed to enemy quarterbacks. UPDATE 12/28: Brees (bruised knee) took part in full practices Thursday and Friday, and he is listed as PROBABLE for Week 17. Start him with confidence.
4Foles,Nick PHIDAL300111310026
Monster game coming from Foles against the Cowboys as he almost single handedly win you a fantasy title.
5Wilson,Russell SEASTL2700202020023
He couldn't stay undefeated at home forever. Back to work getting ready for the playoffs.
6Rodgers,Aaron GBPCHI325110210023
He's back! Expect a little rust, but the Packers need to win so he will be relied upon to get them to the playoffs.
7Rivers,Philip SDCKCC2601102010022
Still in the thick of playoff contention, Rivers will make every effort to carry his team to a home victory on Sunday.
8Cousins,Kirk WASNYG300110220021
Cousins will finish off the year with solid production in the hopes of being moved in the offseason.
9Tannehill,Ryan MIANYJ2502002120021
Tannehill looks to bounce back this week at home against the Jets after last week's debacle at Buffalo.
10Palmer,Carson ARISFO290020210021
After shocking Seattle last week on the road, it will surprise few when they do it at home.
11Luck,Andrew INDJAC2400112120021
Luck will square off against a Jaguars defense that ranks near the bottom of the league in fantasy points allowed to enemy quarterbacks. Consider him a solid play as a fantasy QB2. Jacksonville won’t put up much of a fight, so Luck won’t have to light it up.
12Kaepernick,Colin SFOARI2301102025021
He is playing his best football at the right time. He'll need to have his A game to get the win this week.
13Newton,Cam CARATL2401102120021
Start Newton (ankle) as a high-end fantasy QB2 versus a leaky Falcons defense that has allowed big outings to opposing quarterbacks all season. Newton has been bothered by an ankle injury, which is likely the reason why he has done little as a runner during the last two weeks. UPDATE 12/28: Newton (ankle) took part in full practices Thursday and Friday. He is listed as PROBABLE for Week 17.
14Roethlisberger,Ben PITCLE2501102120021
Roethlisberger can still run if he wants to and the Browns have given up their share of yards on the ground to the QB. Good spot for him even if he is slowed down in the air.
15Pryor,Terrelle SEASTL2500101150020
Getting his chance to finish with a bang, Pryor will put up adequate enough rushing numbers to be of help.
16Fitzpatrick,Ryan HOUTEN2351102120020
Consider Fitzpatrick a decent play as a fantasy QB2 versus a demoralized Houston defense that ranks way below average in fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks. Since the Texans probably won’t put up a fight, don’t expect a monster outing from “Fitzmagic.”
17Pryor,Terrelle SEASTL2500101150020
Getting his chance to finish with a bang, Pryor will put up adequate enough rushing numbers to be of help.
18Brady,Tom NEPBUF2402002110020
Buffalo is one of the better teams against the pass, even though he crushed many fantasy playoff dreams last week it's not like you're going to sit him.
19Orton,Kyle DALPHI280110220020
Orton could be a great under the radar play for teams who have survived week to week with matchup based QBs after losing Aaron Rodgers. He has the weapons and the Eagles let up a ton of points.
20Stafford,Matthew DETMIN275020220019
He has really struggled down the stretch, the potential loss of Johnson is a big hit to his offensive production. If Isles is ready for this game, then bump these numbers higher.
21Ryan,Matt ATLCAR260110220019
Ryan will square off against a sack-happy Panthers defense that has been stingy to opposing quarterbacks. Although the Falcons triggerman and his teammates are still playing hard, don’t trust Ryan as anything more than a fantasy QB2.
22Cassel,Matt MINDET250110220018
He will be looking to lose the bad taste of a poor week 16 performance. The Vikings will stick with him and with little on the line, the offense will be able to move the ball against the Lions.
23Manning,Eli NYGWAS250110230017
Given that it's Washington, Eli gets a small boost this week. Even still, he's been God awful and shouldn't be looked for to win any championships.
24Dalton,Andy CINBAL2600101110017
In a game that likely doesn't mean much to the Bengals (although a bye is within reach) expect a vanilla gameplan in what could be a rematch in the wildcard round.
25Campbell,Jason CINBAL2500101110016
The real Jason Campbell has emerged in December after a mirage of a start to his tenure in Cleveland.
26Smith,Geno NYJMIA2001001115014
Smith was replaced by Simms when these teams met back in week 13. Use another quarterback option for week 17.
27Manuel,E.J. BUFNEP1851001120014
Manuel missed last weeks game, but may play this week at New England. Check his injury status later in the week.
28Henne,Chad JACIND2101001220014
Henne has tossed two scoring strikes in four straight contests, but that streak likely will come to an end against a resurgent Colts defense that has not allowed a touchdown pass in two consecutive games. Consider him a low-end fantasy QB2 play.
29Flacco,Joe BALCIN190010120011
He shouldn't be playing, but he is the face of the franchise and a loss means no more football for 9 months.
30Schaub,Matt OAKDEN180010125011
UPDATE 12/29: Case Keenum (sprained thumb – throwing hand) is INACTIVE, so Schaub will get the start. He is not a recommended play against a tough Titans secondary.
31Clemens,Kellen SDCKCC14501012009
As if playing In Seattle isn't hard enough, they come in facing a team looking to make a statement.
32Daniel,Chase KCCSDC180000011509
Despite benefitting from significantly more snaps this week, Chase shouldn't be anywhere your lineup.
33Glennon,Mike TBBNOS180000021508
Consider Glennon a very weak play as a fantasy QB2 versus a New Orleans defense that ranks above average in fantasy points allowed to enemy quarterbacks.
