For you history buffs, we will archive every article penned by the Shark Team in 2006. As each week is finished, we will move the content to this page so you can reminisce about the good old days ... like week 1.
The NFL season rolls on and the fantasy season is coming to a close. A tough week for the fantasy player...a low scoring week....many kickers and defenses getting the high fantasy scores this week...
For whatever reason, this game bores me. The Jaguars bore me, as do the Dolphins. That's not to say next season, or even later this season they won't electrify, but right now, they're boring...
This week the guys slack a bit and only bring you 2 games to watch, since one of the best three games was already played last night. But they manage to find the only 2 gems on the schedule for Sunday, and fill you in on why you should watch, and squeeze in a celebrity divorce – all while getting a hand from their poker buddy, Dear Abby.
There's something for everyone in this quick lap around the league as the fantasy regular season comes to an end. If you need a win to make the playoffs, I help you deal with the present. If you're playing out the string, I throw out a couple of ideas for the future.
OK.How did I get to here? With two weeks to go and a four game winning streak, I find myself two games over .500 and riding the warm-ish offense of those New Orleans Saints.
It's time for luck week 13. In some leagues, it's the final week before the playoffs. For those of you curious about my fantasy season, here's where
my teams stand. I'm in four leagues, one of them being a dynasty league. My records are as follows: 10-2 (Shark league, 2nd in division!), 6-6 (1st in division?!?), 6-4-2 (2nd in division), and 4-7-1 (dynasty league). That's three out of four leagues that I'm in the playoff hunt. This week is HUGE for me in two separate leagues so I'll be paying very close attention to the news wire over the weekend for any last minute updates. Good luck to those of you needing a big week 13 to make your season a success.

Tune in to the new FantasySharks 'Week in Review' podcast, available here weekly for your listening enjoyment. This week the guys wrap up Week 12 and let you know if any of the studs will repeat their performances in Week 13. Only available here, at FantasySharks.com.
The Saints are going to have a tough time of it on the ground, though film of Reggie Bush will have the Cowboys coaches shaking their heads when preparing for this game. There was some nasty juke running last week by Reggie. Look instead for the Saints to air it out and try to roll up the points on the Cowboys quickly...
After blowing my 10 star biggest play of the year, I had to hide out down in Atlanta for a week. Athens, Georgia actually, a very fun place.Drank my misery away with 99 cent pints at the college bars all week long...
Welcome back to The Hive everyone! Hopefully last nights snorefest in Pittsburgh didnt put any of you into a coma, as there are some games on the plate this week that will actually be entertaining. Dare to dream!

Hey, look who backed his way into the playoffs! We're trying something different this week: Finding obscure guys who may prove beneficial to your playoff push.

Is that Demeco Ryans something else? Just ask Swarm - he'll tell you. Ryans put up just under 50 points in our Wall League last week. Unbelievable. IDPs are just way cool.
It's the playoffs in some leagues and do or die in others this week. Some fantasy regulars have very tough matchups this week so don't be afraid to think outside the box when evaluating your matchups. The Ladell Betts and Devery Henderson's of the world have been known to lead fantasy teams to the promised land in the past.

Bill Parcells has re-positioned himself as the smartest man in football this week. Now the only question is whether he can lead the Cowboys to the promised land or not.
The Raiders play tough D and as a result, you need to downgrade all your Rams this week. Steven Jackson will get his due to sheer repetition but do not expect a monster this week. I would seriously consider better options at QB if you have them instead of sticking Marc Bulger in there.
The guys are back after a break last week to tell you which 3 games you simply cannot miss this week. They take a last look at lists, examine Payton Manning’s ad copy, and even get an early Christmas gift of their own when they get to see a letter to Santa from another media darling.Holiday cheer is in the air... or are those snowballs?
With a vengeance! 3-0 Baby! No need to donate more platelets at the Red Cross this week. And we are hitting the perfect time to get hot, when some teams pack it in for the year, and other continue to play hard for their coach.
If you're still reading this, then you must be one of the lucky ones that is still alive in the playoffs. Congrats! There is lots of offense to go around in a pivotal week 15. The powerhouse offensive teams have about one more week of fantasy stats before reality takes over and players start to rest. Enjoy your Chargers, Saints, and Colts while you can.
With the fantasy playoffs on the line, some guys (Brees, Tomlinson, Parker, Gates) continue to do their part while others (Vick, Steve Smith, Alexander) will no doubt be moved to the "do not draft next year" list.
Hey, 3-0 again, that’s two perfect weeks in a row! Definitely starting to hit our stride down the stretch run. I have 4 plays this week, so let’s try to hit 10 straight victories.
It's week 16. Do or die....make or break....put up or shut up...sink or swim....choose your expression. May your true Shark come through this week reducing your opponent to chum and a light snack. Good luck everyone!
Week 15 Jason Brichta, Fantasy Football Staff Writer Dec 19, 2006
Terrell Owens made headlines again, but as usual it was not for his good play or his leadership. It was for spitting in the face of another player, which should be a humiliation for himself and his team. Apparently, it’s not.
Contest results are now available! A few members went 14-42this week in the Pick 'Em Contest. Krazy Kraut posted the top score in the Swim Contest. Running Wild can only lose if he pulls a Cliff Claven in the Survivor Contest.
Another strange week of football is in the books...not too many stud players did well this week, but there were a lot of defenses that did...and thanks goes to Drew Brees for scoring 2 weeks worth of points last week...
This playoff season is going to be an absolute blast. The ones that are forecasting a Ravens/Bears snore-a-thon are going to be pleasantly surprised with this years match-ups and games on the card. All the teams you want to see play each other, will. Come one, come all to the annual Playoff Progno!
Final Week of the Season – Every Year, this is my most profitable week of the year.I’ve loaded up my account, and I’m ready to roll into the playoffs.I have three, guaranteed winners. For the entrée, we have 3 five star games, and for the main course, two ten star locks!

Well it's been a great run this year - Let's put some finishing touches on our 2006 season
Happy New Year! This brings about the end of the Fantasy Football portion of your programming. Please do not adjust the dial. The Virgin will be around for some playoff and prognostication.
Week 17 in Fantasy Football is different than every other week. The whole concept of studs (ASYS) goes out the window. You need to know the playoff scenarios so that you don't get stuck with a would-be stud who rests the entire second half. This week's start bench list will focus on those players that have something to play for this week, even if that something is simply pride.
Folks, just a reminder (though this may be news to some of you), every week from here on out there will be a THURSDAY night game (except for the final week). Don't worry, you probably can't watch the game since it will be exclusively on the NFL Network that many cable companies don't offer.
As a result, contest selections for ALL "GAMES" will be due ONE HOUR before the THURSDAY GAME KICKOFF. Please adjust your weekly schedules, research, and entering of picks into the website accordingly.
And don't forget to get your fantasy line-ups entered early as well! See article for the schedule of "odd games".
