With the football season heading into the dark days of December, the guys wring out three more top notch contests that ensure you’ll be entertained not only tonight, but this Sunday as well. They also manage to dig out the ol’ electric blankets, pour themselves a frosty mug of football goodness and their favorite beverage, get the intern to run out for some Chinese food, and try not to get sued by the FOX network – so pretty much business as usual in the ‘Games to Watch’ offices.

Just kidding. He used them all up on Sunday against the Vikings. It seemed as if Eli Manning was attracted to the purple and white people on Sunday. Success in the playoffs can erase the bad breaks of a 7-6 season while struggles can reduce a 11-2 record to a meaningless afterthought. Studs are, in the word of Dennis Green, "who we thought they were", but there's always a matchup to exploit this time of the season. Choose your starters wisely, because you do not get a second chance this time of year.

Eli vs. Grossman. Could it be possible that the winner would have MORE turnovers and the loser had NONE? That would only be fitting. Eli Manning had 3 turnovers and threw for 195 yards and 1 TD in the Giants comeback win in Chicago. Despite a terrible three quarters of play, Eli led the Giants on the game-winning drive in the 4th quarter, which was capped with a Reuben Droughns 2-yard TD run with over a minute remaining. Derrick Ward ran extremely well with 154 yards on 24 carries with a TD, but was injured late and could be done for the year. Amani Toomer caught 6 balls for 69 yards, including a big TD on 3rd and goal, which was originally called incomplete, but later reviewed and overturned. The Giants improved to 8-4 and have a comfortable lead, for now, on the 1st wildcard spot.

With the NFL Season winding down, it has come time to wind down the weekly Waiver Wire Article.  Thanks to all the dedicated readers for your support during the season.  This seems like as good a time as any to put together this year's All-Waiver Wire Team.  Last week we talked Turkey, this week, Waiver.  Players on the All-Waiver Wire Team are players that in all likelihood were not selected by any teams on draft day.  Looking at the players on this list, well, it's a pretty good team.  A good draft goes a long way towards winning a fantasy championship, but equally important is weekly vigilance on the waiver wire.  Enjoy!

There was highway robbery in Motown Sunday afternoon as the Cowboys stole one from the Lions for their 12th win of the season.

Lion 4th quarter missed opportunities:

1)      Jason Hanson misses a 35-yard FG to potentially give Detroit a two-score lead with ten minutes to go.

2)      Jason Witten fumbled at the 1-yard line with under six minutes to go, but the Lions couldn’t put together a drive to seal the win.

3)      Dallas recovers a Tony Romo fumble with a minute remaining when a Lion had the ball in his grasp.

4)      Dallas converts the ensuing 4th and 6 play to keep the drive alive.

The Lions had plenty of chances to win this game, but in the end it was Tony Romo doing it again leading Dallas to a victory. His 16-yard strike to Jason Witten tied the game with 18 seconds remaining and Nick Folk nailed the XP to give them the lead.

Well – At least the bloodbath is nearly over.  Only one week left, and I have A TON of work to do to make up for my crappy pick last week.  The Texans just couldn’t keep up with the Colts, period.  An ugly loss, nuff said, don’t want to think about that anymore!

Happy Holidays everyone! Hopefully, you're enjoying your championship trophy or playing in the finals this week. The last week of the season is much different than any other week. Forget about everything you've learned over the past 16 weeks. The concept of Studs: gone. Your goal this week is to find the players at each position that won't be resting for the playoffs and have favorable matchups.

We’re getting closer to the record…

Oh, which one you ask? Tom Brady’s passing TD record? Randy Moss’ receiving TD record? Or how bout that 16-0 one… The Pats are now one win away from a perfect regular season. They’ll try to accomplish that feat in the Meadowlands Saturday night..
