The one place in this game that there's a slight advantage is when the
Steelers run the ball. The Redskins have been good at stopping opposing
RB's, WR's and TE's like the Steelers but the Steelers bread and butter
has been that running game even though they came into this season
wanting to pass the ball.

Being that we’re roughly mid way through the NFLseason, I thought it
would be interesting to compile the current fantasy stats andput
together some rankings. Granted, this will have NOTHING to do with
future projections, it is purely based on an individual’s average
fantasypoints scored per game up to this point in the season.

It is time to turn the corner this season, and I’m seeing some great value at the safety position these days. It’s tough to find strong LBs at this stage in the game, but good DBs could possibly be a team changer for you at the season midpoint.
Philadelphia @
Seattle (+6.5):What we have here is two teams heading in different directions. The Eagles offensive players are as healthy as they've been in a while and should continue to air it out with ease.

Trick or Treat ? Mike Sarmento, Fantasy Football Staff Writer Oct 30, 2008
The Fall Classic will end prior to kickoff this Sunday. The Rookies are galloping toward the 1,000-yard mark. You ate all the Halloween candy. So you put out an empty bowl with a sign that says "take one". Even with all the planning, you still get eggs thrown at your house. So you audibled to trick? Normal people eat 200 mini twix bars. After all, they are mini.
The NFL reaches its own midway point where they begin to focus on the playoff pictures and know which players they will ride the rest of the way. You need to do the same. There are currently 52 players and three defenses that have recorded just one week of 10+ fantasy points. Most of these players do not need to be on your roster.
Orlovsky, Orton, Avery and Olsen. No, this isn't just a law firm that is willing to help you receive the compensation you deserve from a serious injury suffered at work, it's also a list of fantasy starters recommended in week nine. It's not exactly Manning, Tomlinson and Owens, but who said fantasy football was predictable?
If you’re anything like me and drafted a “value” TE late in the draft this year, you’re probably scrambling to find consistency at the position heading into the playoffs (or just trying to make the playoffs). I probably don’t have to tell you the position is way down when you look at the viable options top to bottom. In this edition of Digging Deeper, we’re going to analyze and project the Top 8 TE options for the rest of the season who might still be available on the waiver wire in your leagues.
Well, all three of my selections won last week (the Jets, Texans and Eagles) and the team I told you to avoid that may have looked good on paper (the Buffalo Bills), lost. So hopefully you took my advice last week. It's not as easy this week so check out the game-by-game analysis.

Mike Singletary is wasting no time putting his mark on the team in San Francisco. First, Vernon Davis is told to leave the game...though we fantasy owners would wonder if he was on the field playing in the first place...in addition to Shaun Hill, we've got a bevy of quarterbacks to talk about in the "Deep Only" section, some I'm more serious about than others.

The Packers are a better team than they've been showing and they're starting to get healthier and that will translate to wins. Aaron Rodgers is going to go off on Sunday with Greg Jennings and Donald Driver leading the way. Expect a huge number from Aaron Rodgers and Greg Jennings and a just less than huge number from Donald Driver. If you're starting Greg Jennings,
make sure you take your opponent out to watch the Packers game just so

Welcome back to The Hive! Thursday games are starting up, so decision time is upon you yet again in this election week! See who The Hive nominates to replace injured studs like DJ Williams and IDP horses who are suddenly looking for work like Deangelo Hall.
As the injuries continue at the QB position, keep in mind the Gus Frerotte's, Tyler Thigpen's and Chad Pennington's of the league will fill in nicely from week to week. You don't need Drew Brees at QB to contend if your other skill positions can carry their own weight. Dig deep in the trenches of the waiver wire for QBs, you never know when that supposed rock will turn into a diamond.
For those of you suffering the QB injury blues, look no further than Matt Ryan
to lift your spirits. Ryan has thrown two TDs in three of the past four
weeks and has averaged 248 yards passing during that same span. Look
for continued success from Ryan this week against the Saints who
allowed 341 passing yards to Philip Rivers and the Chargers two weeks ago.

Braylon is going to continue his success in the second half of the season. Since Week 4, in basic leagues that do not award a point per reception, Braylon has averaged 11.6 points per game, including three touchdowns. He faces
Denver who is without Champ Bailey next week on Thursday Night Football. The last time he played in primetime, he went off on the Giants.
First, the good news, this is the last week with teams on a bye. Now, the bad news, this week begins the Thursday night games that will continue for the rest of the season. That's right, the NFL is upsetting the schedule of their best customers, the fantasy players. Cutler went on a
tear last Thursday, throwing for 447 yards and three TDs. He did throw
one INT, but overall he played excellent. It wasn’t too much of a

The Chiefs are making a nice cinderella story in the NFL this year. Tyler Thigpen
comes out of obscurity to already be tagged as the Chiefs starting QB
next year. Sure there'll be an open competition for the job with Brodie Croyle and Damon Huard
but the job is Thigpen's to lose and he's far ahead of the pack right
now. While the fantasy world is gushing about him, he did complete just
50% of his passes last week so it's not all perfect yet and there is
room for Thigpen to fall flat on his face still. However, a promising
start for the young Chief and we look forward to seeing more from him. Larry Johnson
will struggle getting yards on the ground but he will get the tough
yards. If you have a 'tough yards' scoring category then get LJ in!

Only two weeks until fantasy playoffs begin. If you haven't already, it's a good time to review the schedules of your roster in Weeks 14-17 to see how you match up. There are still plenty of Shaun Hill's and Justin Gage's on the waiver wire. Start digging.
My two main picks in the Dolphins and Panthers both won last week.
Miami came away with another close win against an inferior opponent, but got the job done in the end. My third option, the Eagles, which I was wary of, tied the Bengals. This is an odd occurrence, but in most survivor pools, it should be counted as an elimination since they did not advance. I continue to stress to beware of the road teams! Weather can
dominate an NFL contest like the nothing else. Being a playoff-caliber
team and challenging for your title means that you must check the

DeAngelo Williams
and Jonathan Stewart had huge days against the 0-10 Detroit Lions.
Williams had 14 carries for 120 yards and two TD’s, while the rookie
Stewart piled up 130 yards on 15 carries with one touchdown. That many

kind of production should be similar next week against Atlanta>.
