A Little IDP Playoff Help

Howdy Sharkfans! I’ve been seeing some chatter in the forums about playoff IDP rankings. I haven’t had time to go through and formulate a particular list, but I have been able to throw together some stats from our IDP-only league “The Wall” that may be of some particular use for those of you looking for some IDP help with your playoff fantasy football.

Here’s a chart showing the points given up to each defensive position by the teams currently in the playoffs.

For example, if you look at Washington, they have given up a pretty good chunk of points over the year to their opposing LBs. Therefore, it is probably wise to consider playing a Seattle LB this weekend as one of your IDPs. Keep in mind that this chart is a compilation of the entire 2007 regular season and you also will need to take into account current injuries, weather, etc.

If you need to look up particular individual players, then I suggest checking out the data for some of the other Wall stats which you should be able to get here: The Wall – top performers. This will take you to a LB list, but you can manuever around by clicking on the players button at the top of the list. (There's also a link to The Wall over in the left-hand column of the main page under showcase leagues if it is easier).  The Wall is Fantasyshark’s IDP-only league and I find it to be a good reflection of typical IDP scoring (in general).

Hope this helps, and I wish everyone well with their IDP playoff endeavors – Thanks for reading!
