This week’s lines are from USAToday.com (as of Thursday night). ATS - Against the Spread; SU - Straight Up; O/U - Over/Under
LocksDetroit at Arizona (+6) After winning their first four games of the season, Arizona has lost their last nine games. They hit rock bottom last week, losing 58-0 in Seattle. Detroit is on a losing streak of their own, losing their last five games. This pick is more against the Cardinals than for the Lions, it's very difficult to pick the Cardinals based on the way they've been playing. The Cardinals are averaging only 14.3 points per game, last in the NFL. Rookie Quarterback Ryan Lindley is expected to start this week and has completed only 48% of his passes and has zero touchdowns and five interceptions on the season. Gimme the Lions minus the points. Green Bay at Chicago (+3) After starting the season 7-1, the Bears have lost four of their last five and find themselves in a must win situation. If Green Bay wins, they'll clinch the NFC North division, leaving the Bears vying for one of the wild card spots. The Packers have won seven of their last eight games and are 4-0 ATS against the Bears in their last four games. Gimme the Packers minus the points.
GamesDenver at Baltimore (O/U 48) The Broncos are on a eight game winning streak. On the season, the team is scoring 28.8 points per game, 2nd in the league. The Ravens are on a two game losing streak and have all but clinched the AFC North. Offensive coordinator Cam Cameron was fired earlier this week and the team will look to use the no-huddle offense more frequently. Quarterback Joe Flacco has played better at home, completing 63.3 of his passes for 11 touchdowns and four interceptions. On the road, he has completed only 57.1% of his passes for seven touchdowns and five interceptions. The Ravens are 5-1 ATS on the over at home. Gimme the Over. Seattle at Buffalo (+5.5) Seattle is coming off a 58-0 thrashing of the Arizona Cardinals last week. The Seahawks have won four of their last five and are looking to solidify their playoff position with a win this week over the Bills. Please note that this game is in Toronto and not in Buffalo. Gimme the Seahawks minus the points.
