Game Day
The bye week came and snuck up on some of us last week. It left us with holes that we tried to fill with wire pickups. I felt good about some and laughed about others. Let's see how we fared as a whole.
Fred Taylor, RB, Jaguars – (18 car., 80 yards & 1 rec., 17 yards)
OK
Leon Washington, RB, Jets – (12 car., 54 yards & 4 rec., 14 yards)
OK
Actually, I didn't start any of these guys myself. I told you that I was rolling with Ryan Torain, who was a better option in my mind against
Cleveland. He produced 68 yards on 12 carries and a TD before tearing his ACL and being lost for the season.
Let's examine guys who may be able to help you in Week 11 that you can pick up off the wire:
Ladell Betts, RB, Redskins – Check the injury report but there is some question about Clinton Portis' health.
Washington has a good offensive line and if Betts is able to suit up, he may put up some solid numbers.
Tyler Thigpen, QB, Chiefs – Plays a very weak Saints Defense. Expect an angry Larry Johnson which leads to a nice play action passing attack.
Tatum
Bell, RB, Broncos – Yep he's back. Lock up your valuables in that locker room. He knows the system and Mike Shanahan will plug him in along with Peyton Hillis and newcomer Alex Haynes. Expect nothing and be surprised. The line makes one cut backs great.
Malcolm Floyd, WR, Chargers – Can you say sleeper? He’s 6'5", 225 and has found it easy against corners who aren't of the shut down variety.
Pittsburgh gives it up to
San Diego at home. Floyd gets his with Chambers, Jackson, and Gates keeping the Steelers busy.
