Calling The Playoffs like I see 'em

| More

I call the games like I see them. Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Carolina, and New York advance.

1. Get your terrible towel out. The Steelers will make this game exciting versus a suspect defense. You'll see a smash mouth game where the Pitt RB's run wild. Hines Ward will be a factor as will long lost tight end Heath Miller. Charger offense will sputter. Darren Sproles decent numbers mostly as a returner but not as runner. I expect this will be a 31-21 contest with the Steelers advancing.

2. Ravens beat the Titans in an upset 20-13. This one will be low scoring and ugly. Le'Ron McClain will have a nice game as will Mark Clayton. Joe Flacco's numbers are again pedestrian. Kerry Collins sacked 3 times, fumble leading to game winning TD. Chris Johnson will have a couple of nice gains and a TD.

3. Arizona covers the spread and loses 31-24. Carolina is way too balanced to stop. The running game flourishes with Jonathan Stewart and DeAngelo Williams. Steve Smith finds pay dirt as well. It will be decided in the final quarter with Stewart finding pay dirt. Larry Fitzgerald has a nice game as does Warner. It's unfortunately not enough.

4. Philadelphia gets smashed by NY 27-10. Talks circulate about McNabb not returning again. NYG D stops the elusive Brian Westbrook again. Too much strength and depth in the Giants backfield. Derrick Ward is possessed. Amani Toomer and Domenik Hixon will get work on passing downs, but expect the bulk to be ground related. Kevin Boss may be the best red zone option. Expect Philly to try to get Westy the ball often but he will have trouble finding open space.

I'm thinking this might be the week that you see some trick play like former college quarterback Anquan Boldin throw a pass since he has a bad wheel. If you saw him play as a Seminole, you know he has a pretty good touch.

I'm all out of love, I'm so lost without you... fantasy football. I know you were right believing for so long.

My hope is to see Baltimore as the Superbowl Champ. I also hope the Rams realize they need a coach other than Jim Haslett.

Jim Has-Let a lot of fans down, and most of all me. I'd bring in Mike Shannahan, who would not confuse fantasy owners any longer because there is only one feature back in St. Louis.
