More articles from Tony Holm

Many of you know David for his work at fanball.com the last few years and some from his work at fantasysharks.com or old schoolers will remember fantasyasylum.com or David's original Fantasy Football Report which he started in 1995.  And still some of you will know him as, "the guy with all the little footballs."

We're pleased to have David and his very popular The Grey Report which he has been faithfully producing for many years exclusive to FantasySharks.com.  We're looking forward to working with David and know you will enjoy his musings and opinions each week.

Here's a portion of an old Grey Report from several years ago just for a flavor of what David will be crafting for Sharks in 2011 as well as a reminder for those that recognize the little footballs!

Thursday, Dec. 13

Denver at Houston, 8:15 pm
Weather Forecast: 55 degrees with a 50% chance of rain
Prediction: Broncos 24, Texans 20

Broncos: Off: T - 5, R - 6, P - 13 Def: T - 20, R - 29, P - 7
Playoff Status: Needs plenty of help to get into the playoffs
Jay Cutler - - Coming off a huge game and has a good matchup again this week. Has proven he can put up big numbers on occasion.
Travis Henry - - Found the endzone again last week and has a great matchup this week. But will Young cut into his touches? Will Shanny stick with hot hand?
Selvin Young - - Coming off a huge game and has a great matchup, but is Shanahan back to his old moves? How will he be used this week? Good upside though.
Andre Hall (P) - - Not expected to get enough touches to merit taking a chance on with Henry and Young healthy.
Cecil Sapp - - In the same boat as Sapp, so probably want to forget about him too.
Javon Walker (Q) - Questionable with injured knee. Considering how poorly his so called return has gone, why chance him getting you another goose egg?
Brandon Marshall - - Coming off another huge game and faces a defense that can be thrown on. With Walker still banged up, he should remain Cutler's go to WR.
Brandon Stokely (P) - - Continues to produce solid numbers and has a good matchup this week. With Walker still banged up, should continue to see plenty of action.
Glenn Martinez - - Has been an inconsistent option, but does have his moments, but do you really want to rely on him at this important point of the season? I didn't think so.
Tony Schleffler (P) - - Coming off a decent game, but nothing worth writing home about. But has had a good second half and has a good matchup this week, so should be a worthy option.
Daniel Graham - - Actually coming off another good game, but has been hit and miss. Could be a good gamble, though has plenty of risk.
Jason Elam - - Offense has really come on lately and should take advantage of the Texans defense and get Elam his share of scoring chances.
Broncos Defense - - Defense has good weapons and coming off a good performance. Facing a capable offense, but one with their backup QB starting.
Texans: Off: T - 12, R - 24, P - 9 Def: T - 21, R - 23, P - 14
Playoff Status: Needs plenty of help to get into the playoffs
Matt Schaub (O) - - Out again with injured shoulder.
Sage Rosenfels - - Coming off a good performance last week, but faces a tougher passing defense this week.
Ron Dayne (D) - - Doubtful with injured ankle. With the quick turnaround, probably won't be ready to roll this week, or would likely be limited at best.
Ahman Green (O) - - Finally placed on injured reserve with injured knee, which will end his season.
Darius Walker - - With Dayne nicked up, expected to start. Has a great matchup, but will he get enough touches? Could be a good gamble if you need him.
Adimchinobe Echemandu - - Could see some extra touches this week with all the injuries to the Texans RBs. Walker expected to start, but could see RBBC.
Andre Johnson - - Another week, another big game. Not the best matchup this week, but Johnson can light up anyone, so hard to not start him during crunch time.
Kevin Walter - - Has his moments, but a little inconsistent and facing a good Broncos secondary this week, so you may want to strongly consider your other options.
Andre Davis - - Just too hit and miss to consider starting him against a good pass defense.
Jacoby Jones - - In the same boat as Davis, so I'd look elsehwere again this week.
Owen Daniels - - Has been solid more often than not and could be key in throwing against a good pass defense, so may be more involved than usual.
Kris Brown - - Offense could move the ball, but with a rookie RB it could be tough in the red zone and they may be forced to setlle for FGs.
Texans Defense - - Defense has some good weapons, but will have their hands full against a talented Broncos offense.

Saturday, Dec. 15

Cincinnati at San Francisco, 8:15 pm
Weather Forecast: 58 degrees with a 10% chance of rain
Prediction: Bengals 30, 49ers 13

Bengals: Off: T - 7, R - 22, P - 5 Def: T - 26, R - 22, P - 25
Playoff Status: Eliminated
Carson Palmer - - Coming off a rough week, but has a good matchup this week, so hopefully he will step up in crunch time to help you toward a championship.
Rudi Johnson - - Showed some signs of life last week and looks like the goal line will be his territory. Great matchup this week.
Kenny Watson - - Bengals are using a three-header monster at RB now as Dorsey had made plays. Watson should get some touches, but seems like Rudi is the goal line guy.
DeDe Dorsey - - Showing some flashes of potential and making some big plays. Bengals trying to get him a couple more touches here and there, but still probably not enough.
Chad Johnson - - Has a history of stepping up when Bengals are in the spotlight. Facing a defense that is struggling.
T.J. Houshmandzadeh (Q) - - Questionable with injured back, though expect him to go again. Good matchup again this week, though back injury has cut into his numbers.
Chris Henry - - Good matchup and is a matchup nightmare for teams. Big play threat can be inconsistent, but also capable of big games.
Glenn Holt - - Just isn't touching the ball enough to consider him a worthy starting option.
Reggie Kelly (Q) - - Questionable with injured ankle. Not involved in the offense enough to rely on him when hurt.
Shayne Graham - - Offense has plenty of weapons to give the struggling 49ers defense fits and keep Graham plenty busy.
Bengals Defense - - Defense has shown signs of life and are certainly capable of forcing turnovers, especially considering the 49ers are down to their third string QB.
49ers: Off: T - 32, R - 29, P - 32 Def: T - 22, R - 25, P - 16
Playoff Status: Eliminated
Trent Dilfer (D) - - Doubtful after suffering a concussion last week.
Alex Smith (O) - - Expected to undergo season ending shoulder surgery and has been placed on injured reserve.
Shaun Hill (P) - - Early indications are that he will get the start this week with Dilfer and Smith banged up. Good matchup, but hard to rely on a QB making his first career start.
Frank Gore (P) - - Hasn't been the best season, but has had good moments and a good matchup this week. With the 49ers forced to start Hill, Gore should touch it a ton.
Michael Robinson - - Likely won't see enough action to consider him, even with a good matchup.
Darrell Jackson - - Has his moments and a good matchup, but very raw and inexperienced QB making his first start.
Arnaz Battle - - Just like Jackson, could be a good gamble, but has an awful lot of risk due to the QB situation.
Ashley Lelie - - Just too inconsistent to consider him with the 49ers QB situation in the state it is.
Vernon Davis - - Bengals have struggled against talented tight ends and he can be a young QBs best friend. Does have some risk though.
Joe Nedney - - Offense could struggle to get him enough scoring chances (Or could have some success but struggle to finish drives). Big gamble, but does have upside.
49ers Defense - - Defense continues to struggle and facing a good offense, though they have had some weeks in which they struggled turning it over.

Sunday, Dec. 16

Arizona at New Orleans, 1:00 pm
Weather Forecast: 54 degrees with a 20% chance of rain, but won't be a factor inside the dome
Prediction: Cardinals 30, Saints 27

Cardinals: Off: T - 15, R - 28, P - 10 Def: T - 15, R - 11, P - 24
Playoff Status: On the outside looking in, but still have a shot at a wild card spot
Kurt Warner - - Coming off another big game (The three TDs help make you forget the five INTs) and facing one of the league's worst pass defenses this week.
Edgerrin James - - Saints run defense isn't too shabby, but Edge can give them trouble and could get a crack or two at the end zone.
Larry Fitzgerald (Q) - - Questionable with injured groin. Coming off a solid performance and has a great matchup this week. Good option if he plays again.
Anquan Boldin (Q) - - Questionable with injured toe. Probably a long-shot to play, but has a great matchup if he can go.
Bryant Johnson - - Found the end zone last week. Good matchup this week and could see more touches again if Bodin is unable to go.
Jerheme Urban - - Coming off a good performance and has proven he can get the job done, but is a hit and miss option. His value is tied to health of Fitz and Boldin.
Sean Morey - - Probably too big of a gamble to consider him for this key week in the season, even though he does have a favorable matchup.
Leonard Pope (O) - - Placed on injured reserve after dislocating his ankle, so his season is over.
Ben Patrick - - With Pope out, takes over as the starter. Could get the looks Pope did, but hopefully you don't need to find out the hard way.
Neil Rackers - - Offense should move the ball very well on the iffy Saints offense and keep Rackers plenty busy.
Cardinals Defense - -
Saints: Off: T - 6, R - 27, P - 4 Def: T - 27, R - 8, P - 29
Playoff Status: Playoff hopes on life support, but still alive
Drew Brees - - Coming off another big game and facing a defense that can be thrown on. This game could have a boatload of points scored.
Reggie Bush (O) - - Out with injured knee and appears that he will miss the rest of the season.
Aaron Stecker - - Put up strong numbers in his first start of the season last week. Cardinals run defense isn't too bad, but the Saints passing game should help open up the run.
Pierre Thomas - - Getting a few more touches with Bush out, but doesn't look like thbere will be enough of them to give him any real fantasy value.
Marques Colston - - Coming off another huge game and facing a defense that is prone to the passing game.
David Patten - - Put up big numbers last week. Is a little hit and miss, though has been more hit in the second half of the season and has a good matchup.
Devery Henderson - - Another hit and miss option who can make big plays and score TDs. But can also get you a goose egg. Good matchup, so could be a good gamble if you are desparate.
Lance Moore - - In the same boat as Henderson and could be a worthwhile gamble, who could burn you just as easily as he helps you.
Terrance Copper - - Like Henderson and Moore he has his moments, but his are even fewer and farther between, so I wouldn't dig this deep.
Eric Johnson (Q) - - Questionable with injured groin. Probably want to play it safe with another option.
Billy Miller - - Probably too inconsistent to consider him a worthy starting option at this point in the year.
Martin Gramatica - - Offense should have success moving the ball at home, but could be forced to settle for FGs for their new kicker.
Olindo Mare (O) - - Placed on injured reserve with injured hip. effectively ending his season.
Saints Defense - - Defense has come some lately, but is facing a good offense this week, though Warner did throw five picks last week.
