Rather than look back let's look forward ...

1. Look Forward To Roy Williams putting up numbers even with a mediocre QB in Brad Johnson. He wanted out of the big top that was the Detroit lions so badly and owners like myself are laughing at the Top 5 numbers he's about to put up. This week's matchup versus a suspect Rams secondary is a must start even in a new system.

2. Chris Johnson has looked as good as any first round pick to date. The next two weeks following the bye week, the Titans face defenses that are giving up a ton of yards on the ground in Kansas City and Indianapolis. The Chiefs are giving up an average of 182.2 yards on the ground per week, while the Colts are allowing 161 yards on the ground per week average. Johnson, therefore, is a must start and a must acquire, if you can get him. I suspect that you will see better than the average numbers that he has posted against the better run defenses. Look for a century mark performance along with a couple of scores as the Titans roll the Chiefs up this week. Mr. 4.24 has posted 381 yards on 85 carries which translates into 4.5 yards per carry.

Look Forward to Johnson increasing his YPC average substantially in the next two weeks. Don't be surprised if he is among the leaders by season's end.

3. Harry Douglas from the Falcons is turning heads. The University of Louisville product had a good week with five catches for 96 yards. At 5' 11" and 171 pounds, Douglas is hardly a NFL prototype at WR. He makes people miss, has solid hands and tremendous speed. In Atlanta, with Roddy White being the first option every single passing play, this is an oddity than could be an indicator for an increased workload. Monitor this in the coming weeks as he makes a great waiver wire pickup if the trend continues.

Look Forward to Matt Ryan becoming a Top 10 QB next year.

4. The Redskins signing Shaun Alexander indicates that Ladell Betts’ injury is worse than indicated. Don't be surprised to see Portis/Alexander to split goal line packages as Alexander is a much bigger load to bring down.

He is finally healthy and has a pretty big chip on his shoulder after being released. Nothing is better motivation than working out for the Bengals and watching Cedric Benson get inked before you.

Alexander will surprise some folks who saw him struggle during his last year. He is worth a roster spot.

Look Forward to seeing a former MVP score a few TD's.

5. Caveot Emptor (Buyer Beware) Michael Pittman is the starter in the RBBC Bronco offense. Rookie Ryan Torrain is scheduled to practice this week during the bye.

Broncos coach Mike Shanahan loves to show off his gems that he acquires in late rounds. Do not be fooled by Pittman's temporary grasp on the job. Torrain has all the tools to be a feature back including excellent hands.  He is quick, can shake you, run over you and does have the gear to beat you to the corner. He isn't going to overwhelm you with his speed but he's fast enough.

He had a firm grasp on the starting job in preseason until he fractured his elbow. Look Forward to his debut. Grab him if you have room now because you won't be able to get him afterwards. Expect him to be ready Week 9 after Denver's bye week.

6. Carnell Williams is getting close to suiting up which means RBBC in Tampa. Expect to see Warrick Dunn only on passing and third downs and Graham/Williams to split the main work load.

Williams is a pretty good back if he can stay healthy. Look for Williams to come back Week 9. Graham played at fullback this week. That being said, there may be plans to have them both in the backfield at the same time.

Look Forward to having a Cadillac that runs well.

7. Brad Johnson takes over for Tony Romo after he broke his pinkie. This is something that hinders the value of the wide receivers. It increases the value of Marion Barber and Jason Witten, however.

Johnson's nickname was “checkdown,” meaning he likes the underneath guys. His arm strength is questionable and will have a hard time stretching the field. He can dink and dunk with the best of them.

Temper your expectations for Dallas players while Romo heals. Johnson is a guy that can get 200 yards and a couple of TD's, but he will have a hard time exceeding that. Look Forward to Romo returning soon.

8. The Wildcat offense gets shut down this week as the Dolphins get a look at one of the best run defenses at home versus Baltimore. Miami plays well at home so I expect some production, but it won't be Christmas again for Ronnie Brown this week. Ray Lewis and company will be angry after getting smoked by Indy. Look Forward to getting some points out of Baltimore defense this week.
