Mickey's Pick$ and Pa$$es - Week 7

| More

Well, looks like my cousin Vinnie took off for another week.   I'm not sure if it was to visit his bookie or his maker, but he hopes to be back soon.  Stepping in (again) is Mickey his other cousin.

Just a quick look at Vinnie's last week shows that he REALLY likes backdoor covers as two of his three teams lose the game but he covers the spread.  Not the way that Mickey likes to play, but we'll see.  Onto this weeks games.

Detroit at NY Jets (-3.5)
Detroit is awful and the Jets are inconsistent.  However, the Jets have led by at least 10 points going into the final quarter the last three games only to see the other teams come roaring back.  Not this week.  Detroit lays down badly and the Jets give the home town fans something to cheer for.    Jets -3.5 (4 stars)

Pittsburgh at Atlanta (+2.5)
This game is going to be nothing but a big hurting.  Atlanta tries to run the ball and Pittsburgh will stop it.  I'm betting that Pittsburgh (who is playing much better lately) is able to stop the run and make Vick beat them, which he won't.  The Steelers pick up their first road win.  Pitt -2.5 (3 stars)

San Diego at Kansas City (+5.5)
A game where Tomlinson should run wild.  He's a star, the offense is A+ and going against a defense that is soft-soft-soft.  This should be a runaway with the fan in the red leaving early.  Give up the 5.5 points and take it to the bank.  San Diego -5.5 (3 stars)

That's it for this week.  We'll see who's back next week.

G'Luck!

Your other cousin - Mickey.
