With Vinnie taking his skills to the gambling capital of the world, Mickey’s back for the week with his predictions for the Conference Championships.
Well, my cousin Vinnie split his work last week. That’s certainly not what you’d like to see, but who would have expected Indy to lay such an egg. In any rate, onto this weeks 3 ½ point games.
Steelers @ Broncos (-3.5) History is not on the Steelers side as a 6th seed has never made it to the Super Bowl game. I think that streak is about to be broken. The Broncos are just not that good a team. They got outplayed last weekend against the Patriots. If it weren’t for 5 turnovers, the score may have gone the other way. The Steeler D plays in a similar fashion to the Pats, hard nosed and tough. I’m convinced that Big Ben will do just enough to get the win. Take the Steel curtain and Cohwer +3.5 , 4 stars!
Panthers @ Seahawks (-3.5) Mickey likes the dog here too. He’s a big fan on coach John Fox. He breaks down film with the best of them and he’s a decent motivator as well. Not that I don’t like Holmgren, I do, I just think Fox is better. Look for a close game here. Both teams RB’s are either banged up or gone for the game. So, don’t expect much on the ground. Who wins the air attack, wins the game. I give a slight edge to the Panthers, so take the points and run. Panthers +3.5, 2 stars
That’s it for the week. Enjoy the games and don’t lose your shirt!
G’Luck! Mickey |
