Howdy Sharkfans! It’s halfway through the season, and I’ve got to tell you that the waiver wire is starting to wear real thin. Normally, I like to focus on some good match-ups at each position, but I’m changing the format a little this week. Here are some of the players at each position that have been putting up strong numbers the past few weeks. In putting these lists together, I took the average of the three most IDP intensive leagues that I’m involved in.  Don’t worry; I’ll be reverting back to the old format next week.

Another DT that I like this week is Dwan Edwards BAL. He’s playing a lot because Trevor Price has a bad wrist. He’s one that might be a decent waiver wire grab for your line-up this weekend.

Another DE that is intriguing this week is DE Simeon Rice DEN. Rice hasn’t played much this year because he’s been recovering from surgery and Tampa let him go this year. He will be playing on passing downs right now for Denver, but as a spot play he might be worth considering this week or beyond.

This might be a good week to play S Anthony Smith PIT. He got to play more last week with Ryan Clark hurting and he put up some solid IDP points. Keep an eye on this situation, but Smith is begging for more playing time and he just might continue to get more on Monday.
