We have reached Week 10 and have rounded the halfway point of the season. Three teams stand out as selections this week. Check out the breakdown to help make your choice this weekend!

For those who have been reading for the last few years, my golden rule is to avoid the road teams, especially early in the season when you have more options. I also do not like to take divisional games if I can avoid them. However, it is understood that you may not have a choice some weeks to follow those rules. It is also more difficult now as some survivor pools make you pick two teams down the stretch of the season to thin out the field.

Let’s get into the action for Week 10:

Thursday Night

Washington at Minnesota – Stay away from Thursday night games.

Sunday and Monday Games

Top Picks

Tennessee (-13) vs. Jacksonville

New York Giants (-7.5) vs. Oakland

Indianapolis (-9.5) vs. St. Louis

There are a few other touchdown favorites, but they either involve close matchups such as Dallas at New Orleans, or road favorites (Denver at San Diego). I would prefer to stay away from those types of games. The three teams listed above are your choices for Week 10. I would rank them in the order they are listed. Tennessee is coming off a nice win on the road and will look to handle business against winless Jacksonville. Once again, the Jaguars are the exception to the divisional game rule. I like the New York Giants chances at home after the bye against Oakland, who is likely without Darren McFadden , and Terrelle Pryor is banged up. Lastly, Indianapolis is back home after a big comeback on Sunday night to face St. Louis. The Rams can run the ball now with Zac Stacy and do have talent on defense, so that makes the Colts my third choice.

Avoid

I am avoiding San Francisco at home against Carolina. There are three better options that are more clear-cut this weekend. Carolina will be out to prove they are contenders in the NFC. The Panthers defense has been playing lights out and this will be a great test for them.

Side note : Green Bay opened up as a 10-point favorite against Philadelphia and now rightfully stand as only a 1.5 point choice with the injury to Aaron Rodgers .

Good luck in Week 10!
