Week 4 offers some difficult matchups, which can provide headaches for survivor pool participants. Check out the breakdown to help you advance this weekend!
For those who have been reading for the last few years, my golden rule is to avoid the road teams, especially early in the season when you have more options. I also do not like to take divisional games if I can avoid them. However, it is understood that you may not have a choice some weeks to follow those rules. It is also more difficult now as some survivor pools make you pick two teams down the stretch of the season to thin out the field.
Let’s get into the action for Week 4:
San Francisco at St. Louis – The Rams host the 49ers in a divisional battle that needs to be avoided.
Sunday and Monday Games
Top 2 Picks :
New Orleans (vs. Miami) – The Dolphins are definitely improved this season, but they simply will be outmatched on Monday night in the Superdome. Cameron Wake appears to be out on defense for them and the Dolphins offense will not be able to keep up with the high-powered Saints.
Indianapolis (at Jacksonville) – Anyone who plays the Jaguars is an option. Blaine Gabbert will likely be starting, which is bad news for Cecil Shorts' owners, but that is besides the point. It is in the division, but that should not matter. There is always an exception to the rule.
Should Be Winners:
Those are the top-two teams you should trust. Next up are the Denver Broncos, but if there is a week to get them, it could be now. They are coming off a short week while the Philadelphia Eagles have had 10 days to prepare. The Broncos are big 11-point favorites in this one, and, while they should win, you are better off going with one of the top-two picks and saving Denver for later.
Cincinnati – divisional rival on the road against a Cleveland Browns team that has some fight in them.
Kansas City – I don’t like to bet against winless teams in survivor the further we get into the season.
There are a few two- or three-point road favorites in Week 4. Beware of the home underdogs (San Diego, Oakland, Houston, Buffalo). I would say two of those four teams will win on Sunday.
Good luck in Week 4!
