Surprise performances and the cries of … “Down goes Brady!   Down Goes Brady!” … still resonate over Week 1 from the crowd observing on HD televisions and regular televisions everywhere in America.   The hush of silence due to thoughts of Brady being out for the rest of the year makes for deafening what if scenarios.   Is the AFC East up for grabs?   Will Brady play with a brace?   His mobility will be compromised definitely.   What will happen?   But this week the best lines come from the mouth of a babe.   Yes that would be my wife.

“So Who’s The Guy That Looks Like Julia Child Over There With Al Michaels?”

My wife starts off Thursday night with that hilarious comment.   I laughed so hard I thought I was going to turn my bellybutton into an out-eee.   Ha! Yes the world occupied by John Madden and Al Michaels is prestigious.

Mr. Madden has made the most of his second career after being victoriously carried off the grounds of the Rose Bowl on January 9^th, 1977 in Super Bowl XI.   He was Vitale before Vitale.   His energy and enthusiasm and fear of flying have now occupied 30 years.   And I hope he is around for many more Turkey Legs.   But the story is about the week that was.

The Week That Was

Who is Michael Turner?   Why he was the backup to LaDainian Tomlinson in San Diego last year.   And he was available in the fourth round.   When I took him, I did not think that would be an important pick.   But if Mr. Turner continues like this, it could be another interesting Fantasy Football season my friends.   With two Monday Night games to go, this week is still not in the bag.   I will have RB Adrian Peterson going up against WR Greg Jennings.   Should be a walk in the park, right?   Well just ask anyone who had Tom Brady on their team.   This walking stuff can be pretty frustrating.   So to help our frustration, I have reprised my seven steps to a better team below.   Use it wisely and welcome back to football American style!

Pick Your Team Wisely Using 7 Steps to a Better Team

Can 7 steps make your week?  Only if you try them my compadres de football d’fantasy. Your Fantasy Football team wins if your starting team has more points at the end of the weekend than your opponent.  As profound as that doesn’t sound it becomes that simple.  A great bench doesn’t win it.  But knowledge is power and I am here to help.  If you lost this week, let me assist you with a strategy that will at least give you a fair shot.  All you want is a fair shot in this game.  Anything else and you are the Postmaster General for the town named clueless, population, you! So here are 7 steps to a better starting lineup.  I made the 7 steps stick out so you can keep them handy.

7 Steps To A Better Fantasy Football Starting Lineup

(1)    Register At http://www.fantasysharks.com It’s Free! (Shameless Plug)

(2)    Go to  My Fantasy Home and enter your team in to the Edit My Players section.

(3)    After Thursday AM Go To My Fantasy Home and the Fantasy Sharks Lineup Coach . 

(4) Change all your players to that team…now!

(5)    Here is the fine tune that helps out … Check out Tony Holm’s prognosticator … hope he is running it again this year.   If not, we are on our own to judge the games for the best running/passing/catching scenario.

(6)    If any of your second string (WR/TE/QB/K/RB) is on a hot offense, you may want to consider switching.  For example if Drew Brees’ and New Orleans passing situation will be better set up than Moss and the Patriots passing (especially with Brady possibly out), you could start Colston over Moss.

(7)    Do that until you are satisfied with your selections

Now, just relax, you did your best.  That is all you can hope for.  If you are winning, great, but if you are like the other ½ this week, stuff like this may help.  Now this is just a starter, message boards and all other fine writers on this site will help you.  But you must begin in the beginning.  Speaking of which…how did your first week go?  Mine may be Turnering in the right direction.
