Fantasy Football Memorabilia

Fantasy Football Recordings

As my players matriculate through their bye weeks, another week has come and gone.  But was it buh-bye for Clinton Portis owners?  Sometimes it doesn’t matter at all because the folks from Ill-A-Delph decide to take an offensive break.  The problem is that they are not on a bye week.

Where Is The Offense?

In the beginning of the year, several of my players were getting into stride.  Numbers were way up.  Now those same contributors are not putting up huge numbers.  For example, there was a time when the Philadelphia Eagles seemed all too unbeatable.  Now take away the un and you have 3 points and another loss.  As a Fantasy Footballer, you can handle when your team loses.  But I would definitely like the score to be 34-31 instead of 13-3.  But still as of Sunday, I had hope. I had visions of a 12 point lead with Tom Brady going against my Viking Defense and an early trip to bed with visions of the Patriots winning 10-7 in a Monday night snoozer.

“Brady Was Spectacular”

When you set the alarm to coincide with the scores from the Monday night affair, you hope to get the result you desire.   But the Brady Was Spectacular line just leaves you knowing that another loss came down.  And it did go down.  The Virgin is wondering where to go in a lonesome valley.  The first two game losing streak of the season has left me 2 games under .500.  My backup RB who is M Jones-Drew performed admirably.  But the big studs did not come up with the goods this week.  In the end, a loss is a loss is a loss.  So what to do?  Keep plugging away.

Plug Up Those Holes

After being Brady’d, the end games of the year are coming.  I know this sound crazy but we just blew by the ˝-way point of the season.  Plugging up your team with free agents may just do the trick or maybe playing certain backups will do the job.  Change up the lineup and see what happens.  That is the never say die spirit in Fantasy Football.  There is always someone who contributes at the end of the season.  Find that guy and get back into the swing of things.

And as a final note, I would like to congratulate the St. Louis Cardinals for their World Series victory.  A World Series Team with only 83 regular season wins.  Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus and he has come early to St. Louis.
