Greetings Sharkfans, welcome to the latest installment of the Seadog Report! First of all, I’d like to thank Gary (a.k.a. SJSwarm) for helping me out the past couple of weeks - the Seadog Report didn’t miss a beat. For those of you who want to hear more from him, I’d suggest checking out the IDP forum in the Sharktank message boards. Thanks again, Gary!

This past week’s Top Dawgs

DL Jason Taylor MIA  6 tackles, 3 sacks, 1 pass- defensed, and 1 fumble recovery.

DL Osi Umenyiora NYG  7 tackles, 1 assist, 2 sacks, 1 forced fumble.

LB Morlon Greenwood HOU 9 tackles, 5 assists, and 2 sacks.

LB Lofa Tatupu SEA 11 tackles, 2 assists, and 1 pass-defensed.

DB Greg Wesley KC  3 tackles, 1 assist, 3 passes-defensed, and 3 int’s.

DB Sammy Knight MIA  6 tackles, 1 sack, 3 passes-defensed, and 1 int.

Seadog’s picks of the week

DL Adewale Ogunleye CHI vs. Green Bay Chicago’s defensive line has been absolutely on fire. I gave up on this guy a long time ago. He’s playing great right now. Don’t hesitate to play him or Alex Brown this week.

DL Osi Umenyiora NYG vs. Dallas Osi is finally stepping up to the big play-maker that I thought he’d be at the beginning of the year. Watch out Drew.

DL Ty Warren NE vs. NY Jets I don’t usually like to recommend Patriot D-line players, because their fantasy production is so erratic. Richard Seymour came back last week and Warren had a great game. I think there might be more of the same against the Jets this week.

LB Morlon Greenwood HOU vs. Baltimore Greenwood has been big the past couple of weeks. Don’t hesitate to play him this week.

LB Odell Thurman CIN vs. Pittsburgh Thurman should be an every week player on your squad by now, but if you have to choose, he should be a strong play against the Steelers. He had a good game when the two teams played the first time a couple of weeks ago

LB Lofa Tatupu SEA vs. Philadelphia Lofa is now the man for the Seattle linebacking corps.

DB Renaldo Hill OAK vs. San Diego Hill has put up some pretty good numbers the past 2 or 3 weeks. If you need a CB, this guy is worth consideration.

DB Antoine Winfield MIN vs. Detroit Winfield has stepped it up in the point production department lately. Play him while he’s hot.

DB Champ Bailey DEN vs. Kansas City I picked up Bailey this week in one of the leagues that I’m in. I’m hoping for another INT from him this week.

Well, that wraps up this segment of the Seadog Report. Now I’d like to introduce a new feature that we are going to bring you this year. As you may or may not know, a twelve team IDP-only league has been started this year in the Sharktank. We call it “The Wall”. It is comprised of some IDP veterans as well as some IDP “newbies”. Regardless as to IDP background, these guys all know their way around fantasy football and are showing it in this league. We’d like for you to follow along with us this year to perhaps glean some insight into the wonderful world of IDPs (plus, it will give you a good chance to make fun of yours truly)

The Wall Report

I apologize in advance for an abbreviated Wall Report this week. I’m still trying to catch up with things after being away and wasn’t able to give this much time. I hope that all you faithful followers have found this information in this section somewhat helpful, as that has been the intention. We’ll pick it up more next week.
