Review of last week:

Great week!  Getting better as the year goes on.  Here’s a quick rundown:  Jimmy Smith had over 90 yards and 7 catches while Lee Suggs did minor damage on the ground but had 5 receptions for 100 yards and 1 touchdown.   Finally, Detroit is awful, enough said.

Top Sleeper Plays: 

Jimmy Smith versus the Colts. He really isn’t a sleeper but if you own him make sure to start him as he has been brilliant the past few weeks and Leftwich is really coming along.  The shot gun offense is being used more and more by the offense as Leftwich feels very comfortable in it.  That was a big part for his success in college. They also play the Colts in a potential shootout in the dome.  Not to mention the Colts are ranked last in pass defense.

Marcus Robinson versus the Tennessee Titans.  As hot as Culpepper is right now Robinson is a must start against the Titans defense that has allowed 11 touchdowns and ranks 26^th in the NFL in passing defense.  Randy Moss even if he plays won’t be 100% meaning Culpepper will be looking in Robinson’s direction on almost every pass play.  Add to that he has 4 touchdowns in the past 2 games.  That will slow down obviously but he could very easily get another one this week.

Quality Sleeper Plays:

Keary Colbert versus the Chargers.  San Diego ranks 30^th in pass defense giving up 264 yards a game and 9 touchdowns this year.  Colbert had a mediocre week last week but played very well the week before versus Denver. 

Ronald Curry versus the New Orleans Saints.  The Saints rank 29^th in pass defense virtually equal with the Chargers.  They are allowing 263 yards a game and 9 touchdowns as well.  Curry has lead Oakland in receiving 2 of the past 3 weeks including a double digit catch day versus the Colts.  This has the potential of a high scoring affair meaning lots of opportunities for Curry.

Drew Bennett versus the Minnesota Vikings.  The Vikings rank 31^st in pass defense allowing 280 yards a game and 7 touchdowns.  Compound that with their prolific offense (even without Moss) and Mcnair will be throwing plenty of passes this week.  Bennett will have a very good game and should equal if not beat his numbers from last week were he had 5 receptions for 59 yards and a score.

Jake Delhomme versus the Chargers.  Read the explanation for Colbert above.  Delhomme should have a solid fantasy day against the porous Charger pass defense.

Kurt Warner versus the Detroit Lions.  Detroit is ranked 28^th in pass defense and Warner has looked remarkably good this year.  Detriot was walloped by Green Bay last week and that exposed the Lions for a below average team like we all knew they were.  Expect Warner to continue this trend.

Kerry Collins versus the New Orleans Saints.  As awful as Collins has looked the past 3 weeks he goes against a horrible pass defense in the Saints.  Collins should put up a decent day hopefully throwing to Curry.  Collins has always been streaky so maybe now is the time for his good streak to kick in against the Saints.
