Vinnie's Pick$ and Pa$$es - Week 5

Folks, we hit our five star game last week.  There aren’t many during the season, but they are great opportunities.  The Public took Farve and his memory of fabulous Monday Night games, but the smart money was on the Donovan and the Eagles to blow out the Packers.  The Three Star games went 1-2, but the key game was won!

Enough about last week, let’s move on to the easy money this week.  Three, three star picks this week.  Nothing crazy this week, no lines really out of whack.

St. Louis -3 @ Green Bay:  Farve is hurting, Donald Driver is hurting, and they just cut their starting Cornerback.  Jim Haslet’s defense of the Rams is opportunistic, and I look for the mismatch on both sides of the ball.  St. Louis receivers are great against poor cornerbacks, and St. Louis’s pressure defense against mistake prone Farve.  St. Louis -3 ***

Baltimore +4 @ Denver:  McNair is a winner, a competitor.  Denver is a good team, but Plummer blows up eventually.  I’d rather bet on Steve McNair than Jake Plummer with the money on the line.  Also, this should be a close, well fought, defensive MNF game, so take the points to the bank.  Baltimore +4 ***

Washington +4.5 @ Giants:  Division game, Giants are a good team, but can they convincingly beat a team and cover the spread?  Not in a tight division game.  Look for this to be won by a FG in the fourth quarter.  Take the Redskins and the points.  Washington +4.5 ***

OPM = Other People’s Money.  If you’ve been following Vinnie’s picks, you should be playing with OPM.  That makes gambling a lot more fun.  Let’s keep the winning streak alive.

St. Louis -3 ***

Baltimore +4 ***

Washington +4.5 ***
