Halfway home, no, not where I live, but halfway through the football season. I'm actually profiting this year, even with the mis-steps with the five star plays earlier in the season. Last week, Vinnie was right on the money, with solid analysis, and you feel good when you back a double digit dog, and not only do they cover, but the win the game outright. In fact, both dogs won outright, and the point spread parleyed with the Pats last week gave a nice payout. It’s a good tactic, if you can spot a guaranteed win game. So, let’s move on to this week’s incorrect lines… Carolina -1.5 @ Bucs. Forget home field advantage, if Chris Simms plays like last week (and he will with Julius Peppers hot for his sacks), the crowd will turn on Simms. Then, watch the Panthers methodically, (and without turnover), pound the Bucs. Rice was suspended last week, and the team needs leadership. The Panthers play hard, and come out with a solid win. Panthers -1.5 *** Houston +13 @ Jacksonville. I like Jacksonville to win the game here, but Houston will put up a solid effort. Take the points here, as Jacksonville rarely blows out opponents. Houston +13 ** Just two games on the board, but I’d rather go 2 wins and 0 losses, than go 4 wins and 3 losses. One two star game, and one three star game. G’Luck! Current Record So, to Recap Vinnie |
