Player Notes, Rumors and Quotes:

Forgotten about, James Thrash (WAS) came out of nowhere to score two touchdowns last Sunday while filling in for injured Santana Moss, but will miss this week with an ankle injury. - Santana Moss (WAS) said this week "Putting on a shoe, that's the most I can do right now. If I couldn't put on a shoe the way I need to put on a shoe, then that's letting me know right then and there, the heel hasn't recovered." - Andre Johnson (HOU) finally appears set to return in week 11. He practiced fully on Monday and Coach Gary Kubiak said afterward that he looked good. - Kevin Walter (HOU) and Andre Davis (HOU) will take big hits fantasy wise upon Johnson's return. - Coach Ken Whisenhunt said Monday that Anquan Boldin (ARI) is still experiencing soreness in his injured hip and he could be limited for the remainder of the season. - Javon Walker (DEN) had said last week that he hoped to return in week 11, but Coach Mike Shanahan said Monday that Walker is a longshot to play Monday. - Isaac Bruce (STL) could miss game time again after reaggravating his strained hamstring last Sunday. - Marvin Harrison (IND) sat out last Monday night and Coach Tony Dungy said afterward that Harrison could have played through his injury had it been a playoff game. While this makes it tough to get a sense of how close Harrison is to returning, it is possible that Harrison could sit until he is clearly 100% healthy, meaning during or after fantasy playoffs. - After missing the past four games, Deion Branch (SEA) practiced fully on Wednesday and is expected to start this week. - Demetrius Williams (BAL) has been walking on crutches. - Andre Johnson (HOU), Isaac Bruce (STL) and Dante Hall (STL) all fully practiced on Wednesday. - Torry Holt (STL), Wes Welker (NE), Sidney Rice (MIN), Jerry Porter (OAK), Jason Avant (PHI), Laveranues Coles (NYJ), Brad Smith (NYJ), Ike Hilliard (TB), Michael Clayton (TB) and John Broussard (JAC) were all limited or participated in practice on Wednesday. - Steve Smith (CAR), Aaron Moorehead (IND), Marvin Harrison (IND), Anthony Gonzalez (IND), Hines Ward (PIT), Koren Robinson (GB), Plaxico Burress (NYG) and Steve Smith (NYG) all did not practice on Wednesday.

Favorable Matchups

HOU vs NO: New Orleans ranks as the worst fantasy group against the receiver position on a per game basis. They are ranked as the 6th worst fantasy group against the quarterback position. New Orleans has allowed 1,701 yards and 14 out of 16 passing touchdowns to the receivers. New Orleans allows a touchdown reception on 13% of converted receptions or every 7.93 receptions on average to the receivers. Totaling 1.56 touchdowns allowed per game to the receiver position on average for the season.

ARI @ CIN: Cincinnati ranks as the 3rd worst fantasy group against the receiver position on a per game basis. They are ranked as the 4th worst fantasy group against the quarterback position. Cincinnati has allowed 1,596 yards and 15 out of 19 passing touchdowns to the receivers. Cincinnati allows a touchdown reception on 12% of converted receptions or every 8.40 receptions on average to the receivers. Totaling 1.67 touchdowns allowed per game to the receiver position on average for the season.

CLE @ BAL: Baltimore ranks as the 5th worst fantasy group against the receiver position on a per game basis, but rank as the worst fantasy group against the receivers over the last 3 weeks. They rank as the 11th best fantasy group against the quarterback position for the season, but rank as the 6th worst fantasy group on a per game basis over the last 3 weeks. Showing a decline against the wide receiver position and the passing game during that span. Baltimore has allowed 1,512 yards and 11 out of 13 passing touchdowns to the receivers. Baltimore allows a touchdown reception on 11% of converted receptions or every 9.46 receptions on average to the receivers. Totaling 1.23 touchdowns allowed per game to the receiver position on average for the season.

Unfavorable Matchups

KC @ IND: Indianapolis ranks as the best fantasy group against the receiver position on a per game basis. They also rank as the 2nd best fantasy group against the quarterback position. Indianapolis has only allowed 969 yards and 4 out of 8 passing touchdowns to the receivers. Indianapolis only allows a touchdown reception on 5% of converted receptions or every 22.75 receptions on average to the receivers. Totaling 0.45 touchdowns allowed per game to the receiver position on average for the season. If you take out Tom Brady's 3 touchdown game against them the numbers are unreal, that's only one touchdown allowed to the position for the season or 0.13 touchdowns allowed. This is the best all around unit against the passing game.

NYJ vs PIT: Pittsburgh ranks as the 4th best fantasy group against the receiver position on a per game basis. They also rank as the 5th best fantasy group against the quarterback position. Pittsburgh has only allowed 1,059 yards and 5 out of 10 passing touchdowns to the receivers. Pittsburgh only allows a touchdown reception on 6% of converted receptions or every 19.20 receptions on average to the receivers. Totaling 0.56 touchdowns allowed per game to the receiver position on average for the season.

CHI @ SEA: Seattle ranks as the 8th best fantasy group against the receiver position on a per game basis. They also rank as the 3rd best fantasy group against the quarterback position. Seattle has only allowed 1,373 yards and 2 out of 5 passing touchdowns to the receivers. Seattle only allows a touchdown reception on 2% of converted receptions or every 52.50 receptions on average to the receivers. Totaling 0.23 touchdowns allowed per game to the receiver position on average for the season.

Watchlists: Players that may be available or are worth keeping an eye on.

Koren Robinson - GB: Last Week: 7 targets, 5 receptions, 72%RC (reception conversion), 45 yards, 9.00 AYR (average yards per reception), 0 touchdown. The stats are not great, but he was tied with Donald Driver with 7 targets, most on the team. Since he started playing the past 2 games his targets have increased from one week to the next. He could surprise finishing out the season and is worth monitoring, this late in the season.
