Welcome to week thirteen of the Brew Crew Corner. We are down to the wire. You either have this week or next to secure that top seed or last playoff spot. There are three factors you want to consider for the next 5 games. They are remaining strength of Schedule, teams on a hot or cold streak and the weather in December.

STRENGTH OF SCHEDULE

The chart color chart below will show which teams have easy pass or run schedules as well as those that have hard schedules over the next 5 games. I will update this chart for the rest of the fantasy season. Overall, the Giants have the hardest combined SOS at 12.3 followed by the Cowboys with 12.5 SOS and the Raiders with 13.3 SOS. The Broncos with a combined 21.3 have the easiest SOS followed by the 49ers with 20.4 SOS and the Titans with 19.1 SOS.

HOT AND COLD

Teams do better going into the playoffs when they get hot at the right time of the year and your players can be fantasy gold when you need them the most. Over the past 5 games The Titans and the Chargers joined Colts and Saints in going 5-0 over that stretch while the Vikings, Bengals and Cowboys each went 4-1. There are 7 teams that went 3-2 through the last 5 games and 9 teams that had a record of 2-3. The last 9 teams all went 1-4 with the exception of the Browns who went 0-5.

WEATHER

It is December and that means winter is around the corner. Cold games and in-climate weather affect performance or force teams to become very conservative on offense. keep that in mind when you have QB and PKs playing indoors or in the cold.
