Week 13 in Review
Jets 40 --- Dolphins 13
There should be no question of who is the worst team in the NFL. The Dolphins made the Jets look good on Sunday, allowing 40 points in a home blowout.
As for the Dolphins, they’re just a complete mess.
John
Beck threw for 177 yards and 3 picks. He also lost a pair of fumbles. The ground game was inept also as
Jesse Chatman ran for just 26 yards.
Chargers 24 --- Chiefs 10
LaDainian Tomlinson
had a big day as the Chargers rolled over the Chiefs in Arrowhead. LDT ran for 177 yards and 2 scores.
Philip
Rivers threw for 157 yards, 1 TD, and 1 INT, but
Antonio Gates was held to just 1 catch for -1 yards, though. The Chargers appear to be in control of the AFC West now at 7-5. They’ll face
The Chiefs were in a 10-10 game at half, but were shut out in the 2nd half due to the Charger defense, who recorded 8 sacks on the day.
Kolby
Smith ran for 83 yards on 21 carries while
Tony
Gonzalez caught 10 balls for 140 yards.
Damon Huard was ineffective and
Tyler
Thigpen even saw some time at QB for KC. Without
Larry Johnson, the Chiefs are a completely different team. They’ll travel to
Colts 28 --- Jaguars 25
This one wasn’t as close as the scoreboard showed. The Colts had control of this game from start to finish. Peyton Manning was on his game throwing for 288 yards, 4 TD’s, and 1 INT.
Reggie Wayne caught 8 balls for 158 yards and a TD.
Dallas
Clark caught 2 TD’s along with his 60 yards and
Joseph Addai ran for 67 yards. Indy is now 10-2 and have essentially a 3-game lead on the Jaguars in the AFC South. The Colts will be on SNF next weekend in
Fred Taylor
ran for over 100 yards and his counterpart, MJD, ran for 52 and a score, but it wasn’t enough.
David Garrard tossed for 257 yards, 2 TD’s, and 1 INT. The Jaguars are not known for their explosive offense and they could not keep up with #18 and company.
Panthers 31 --- 49ers 14
A real sleeper in
The 49ers reverted back to their old ways losing big to the Panthers on the road.
Trent Dilfer threw for 171 yards, 2 TD’s, and 4 INT’s.
Frank Gore ran for only 58 yards, but caught 5 balls for 53 yards.
Arnaz Battle finished with 51 yards and a score. San Fran, 3-9, will host the red-hot Vikings next weekend.
Bills 17 --- Redskins 16
In a game where football was not the focus, the Skins showed that football was not the focal point on Sunday. They could never put away the Bills in this field-goal-fest.
Rian Lindell kicked the game-winning FG with just seconds on the clock to give

Titans 28 --- Texans 20
The Titans finally got a win and improved to 7-5, which is good for a tie for the last AFC playoff spot.
Vince Young led the way with 248 yards, 2 TD’s, and a pick. He also ran for 44 yards.
LenDale White ran for 60 yards and a TD before leaving the game early with an injury.
Chris
Brown took over and ran for 46 yards and a score.
Roydell Williams and
Justin
Gage each had a TD for
The Texans dropped to 5-7 with the loss, but it also came at the expense of
Matt Schaub.
Schaub left the game early and is expected to possibly miss some time.
Sage
Rosenfels came in and threw for 185 yards, 1 TD, and 1 INT.
Ron Dayne ran effectively with
Haynesworth in and out of the game for the Titans. He rumbled for 86 yards and a score. Meanwhile,
Andre
Johnson caught 9 balls for 116 yards and a TD.
Rams 28 --- Falcons 16
Get on the bus,
Gus. Mr.
Frerotte threw for 311 yards, 3 TD’s, and 2 INT’s in the Rams win over
As for the Falcons, they’ve got a few problems.
Joey Harrington threw for 184 yards and a pick and was replaced by
Chris Redman. Redman did well throwing for 172 yards, 2 TD’s, and 1 INT.
Roddy White had a big day for ATL with 146 yards and a TD. On the ground,
Jerious
Norwood rumbled for 94 yards on only 8 carries.
Seahawks 28 --- Eagles 24
AJ Feeley
won’t be praised in
As for the now 8-4 Seahawks, they got a big road win on the east coast and held their 2-game lead in the NFC West.
Shaun Alexander and
Mo Morris each ran for 65 yards and a TD.
Burleson and
Engram each caught TD’s and had 71 and 60 yards, respectively.
Vikings 42 --- Lions 10
Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back!
Adrian Peterson came back with a vengeance rushing for 116 yards and 2 TD’s on just 15 carries.
Chester Taylor also ran for 70 and a TD against the porous
Jon Kitna
threw for 260 yards, 1 TD, and 1 INT in the loss and his 10-win prediction is no longer looking good.
Roy Williams left the game early before catching 5 balls for 85 yards. The Lions ran the ball just 6 times with their running backs.
Raiders 34 --- Broncos 20
I’ve said it all week long that the
The Broncos dropped to 5-7 with the loss and appear to be out of playoff contention in the AFC.
Travis Henry played and ran for 49 yards and 2 scores.
Brandon Stokely caught 3 balls for 102 yards.
Jay Cutler was rattled all day as he tossed for only 214 yards and 2 picks.
On to the entertaining late games…
Cardinals 27 --- Browns 21
The Cardinals held on to a narrow win at home to improve to 6-6 on the year. It came down to the final play of the game as
Derek Anderson threw a pass with no time remaining from the ARZ 37 to the endzone.
Kellen Winslow came down with the ball but was knocked out of bounds and there was no “force-out” ruling. The slow start by

threw for 304 yards, 2 TD’s, and 2 INT’s in the loss for the Browns.
Braylon
Edwards had a big day with 149 yards and a score while
Jamal Lewis ran for just 62 yards.
Giants 21 --- Bears 16
Eli

Grossman. Could it be possible that the winner would have MORE turnovers and the loser had NONE? That would only be fitting.
Eli Manning had 3 turnovers and threw for 195 yards and 1 TD in the Giants comeback win in
Rex Grossman
threw foe 296 yards and a TD for the Bears in their loss.
Bucs 27 --- Saints 23
The Bucs stole one from the Saints because Nawlins’ tried to be too tricky. With less than 4 minutes to go, the Saints tried a double reverse when
Reggie Bush fumbled and the Bucs took over.
The Saints dropped to 5-7 and they’ll have to nearly run the table to have a chance to make the postseason after Sunday’s heartbreaking loss.
