Player Notes, Rumors and Quotes:

Laveranues Coles (NYJ) has shown that he is one of the leagues toughest players over the years and displayed that once again last Sunday. He started last Sunday against the Patriots despite having his ankle worked on Saturday at the team hotel and the portable trainer table he was on collapsed and aggravated his ankle injury. Coles left the game in the first quarter and said afterward that he just couldn't do it. Coles was limited in practice on Wednesday and is unlikely to play this Sunday. - On Monday, Coach Tony Dungy said they would ideally like to have Marvin Harrison (IND) play in a game before the playoffs begin, but Team President Bill Polian later announced that Harrison would be ruled out for this Sunday. - Sidney Rice (MIN) has been diagnosed with a sprained ankle, but the injury looked more serious when he had to be carted off the field last Monday night. - Sinorice Moss (NYG) left last Sunday with a back injury. - Bernard Berrian (CHI) will have reduced fantasy value after Offensive Coordinator Ron Turner indicated on Tuesday that QB Kyle Orton, who was horrible on Monday night, will start the final 2 games for the Bears. - Terry Glenn is scheduled to have his surgically repaired knee drained this week and hopes to make his debut this Saturday night, while Head Coach Wade Phillips said on Tuesday that Glenn finally "feels like he is ready to go." - Coach Herm Edwards said on Tuesday that Dwayne Bowe (KC) "hit a wall" about three weeks ago. - Roy Williams (DET) was placed on injured reserve on Wednesday. - Javon Walker (DEN) saw extensive action for the first time in months last Sunday and put in a full practice on Wednesday. - DJ Hackett (SEA) did some limited work in practice on Wednesday, but did not participate in team drills and looks unlikely to return this week. - Anquan Boldin (ARI) and Larry Fitzgerald (ARI) are both listed as day-to-day but barring any setbacks both figure to start this week.
