10 things fluctuating in the NFL stock market …

1. Glen Coffee – UP – If you do not own the No. 1 waiver priority, you’re likely not getting the hottest pickup of the week. Frank Gore left the game with an ankle injury and the early prognosis is he could be out until the 49ers return from their Week 6 bye. San Francisco faces the Rams and Falcons at home in the next two weeks.

2. Kevin Walter – UP – The Texans were playing one of the worst defenses in the league, but Walter added a spark to the Houston offense on Sunday. The Texans play the Raiders next week, and with Nnamdi Asomugha likely matching up with Andre Johnson, Walter could have another big day.

3. Percy Harvin – UP – Harvin has used his dynamic play to provide another dangerous weapon alongside Adrian Peterson on the Vikings. This weekend he was able produce on special teams with a 101-yard kickoff return. Harvin has scored a touchdown in every game this season.

4. Ahmad Bradshaw – UP – Bradshaw is a hard runner who gives his best effort on every run. Watch some of his highlights from Sunday’s game. I know it was against Tampa Bay, but his next four games are against the Chiefs, Raiders, Saints and Cardinals. Despite being the backup to Brandon Jacobs, he sees plenty of time on the field and is a viable flex play.

5. Jerricho Cotchery – UP – As they proved a week ago, but confirmed on Sunday, the Jets are for real. Mark Sanchez has found his favorite receiver and it’s Cotchery. The sixth-year WR now has averaged six catches and 95 yards per game. The receiver who was taken late in fantasy drafts is playing like a WR2 right now and is doing it against respectable opponents.

6. Vincent Jackson – UP – Jackson is playing like a No. 1 WR as he has 16 catches for 317 yards and two TDs through three games this season. He has a connection with Phillip Rivers that looks like it could last all season long. If Jackson keeps it up, and there is no reason to believe he won’t, he could end up in the Top 10 in receivers this year.

7. Joey Galloway – DOWN – The ageless wonder appears to be done as he and Tom Brady cannot get on the same page. He failed in his opportunity to flourish with Wes Welker out. Galloway should not be owned in any leagues, but the former speedster has reached the end of his run.

8. Washington Redskins – DOWN – Come on, no explanation needed. Congratulations on being that team.

9. Terrell Owens – DOWN –Owens caught a 43-yard TD in Week 2. Take that play out of the equation and Owens has four catches for 55 yards in three games. It is only a matter of time with him and his antics. Now is not the time to try to trade him after his reception streak ended, but hope for a decent game in the next few weeks against Miami or Cleveland.

10. Any Cleveland Brown – DOWN – It doesn’t look pretty in Cleveland. They’re probably the worst team in the league fantasy-wise. They avoided the shutout on Sunday with a fourth quarter field goal. Braylon Edwards is not even able to get garbage time yardage in a blowout.

Are they really 3-0?

During the preseason, it looked like the Denver Broncos were going to be in for a long year. Yes, they beat the Browns, Raiders and Bengals on a fluke play, but 3-0 is 3-0. We’ll see how real they are when they host the Cowboys and Patriots in the next two weeks.

Undefeated in September

There are seven teams that will enter October without a blemish on their record. They include the Jets, Giants, Vikings, Ravens, Saints, Broncos and Colts. Most surprising? Denver. Most impressive? Jets & Ravens. Undefeated teams face off in Week 4 – Jets @ Saints.

Look for the Eagles to have a big October as they face the Bucs, Raiders and Redskins after their October 4 bye.

Monday Night Football

Panthers @ Cowboys – Keep on eye Marion Barber’s status throughout the day. There are plenty of fantasy players in this one on both sides of the ball. Carolina can’t go to 0-3, can they? But Dallas won’t start 0-2 in that new stadium, right? Big game for both teams.
