Week 4 Notes

Good morning, everyone. Hope you’re having a great weekend. Here a few thoughts to help you set your lineups.

Make sure Pierre Thomas is in your lineup. He’s back to 100% and still has Drew Brees as a wingman.

Cedric Benson should have a big game against the Browns today. When he does, sell high. Then go pickup Bengals’ RB Bernard Scott for when Benson goes down.

Bengals’ WR Chris Henry has gotten off to a very slow start and that’s a good thing if you don’t own him. Henry claims that his slow start is due to a thigh injury and that we’ve yet to see him at full strength. I’m buying this excuse and picking him up in any league where a frustrated owner has cut ties.

Would you really consider benching Matt Schaub because he’s facing the Raiders?

The Texans’ defense has given up 615 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground through three games. Darren McFadden should be good for at least 100 yards and a score.

If you’re in need of a bye week plug-in, Michael Bush will also benefit from Houston’s defensive generosity.

If you play in a league where you start two QBs then you may want to consider picking up Chad Henne. Not only does he have a nice matchup against Buffalo this week. But, he faces Jacksonville and Tennesse in weeks 14 and 15. They currently rank 32nd and 29th, respectively, in yards given up via the air.

While we’re in Miami, you may want to take a look at Dolphins’ WR Davone Bess. Bess was targeted seven times by Chad Henne last week, with nine total targets for the game. On the year, Bess has been targeted 19 times, hauling in 17 of those for an astounding 89 percent rate. That’s got to give Henne a warm, fuzzy feeling.

If you have Tashard Choice or if he’s available on your waiver wire, grab him.  Barber is being rushed back due to Felix Jones’ injury and is a very risky play today. Choice is definitely going to get the majority of the work versus Denver.

Preseason sleeper Mike Sims-Walker, known as only Mike Walker back then, is healthy and looking like he’s ready to live up to the preseason hype. Sims-Walker has been targeted 19 times over the last two games, hauling in six passes in each contest. He’s a must add for those in need of WR help. He just needs to stay healthy.

Glenn Coffee is starting for the 49ers while Frank Gore is out and will be a Top 12-15 back this week. Then I would consider selling high.

Matchups be damned, I’m not sitting Steven Jackson versus the 49ers.

Brett Favre beware! You might as well be wearing a target instead of a No. '4' on your jersey. You’re a wanted man by the Packers defense. Vikings' coach Brad Childress better not run any plays that call for Favre to block. This time ole No. 4 will be the player needing assistance off the field.

Have a great Sunday and be sure to checkout RotoExperts 'Think Tank' on Blog Talk Radio as I make a guest appearance around 10:15 am CST this morning.
