News and Notes:

ARI: Anquan Boldin – Showed up with a busted lip and swollen jaw on Tuesday and did not participate Wednesday or Thursday. Coach Whisenhut noted that he has to be cleared medically before officially determining his availability. His odds of playing are less than 50-50 and latest reports says he'll be out Sunday.

ATL: Laurent Robinson – Missed practice Thursday with a knee injury and is unlikely to play this week.

BAL: Yamon Figurs – He was limited in practice Thursday with a hamstring injury, but should be able to play this week.

BUF: Roscoe Parrish – He did not participate in practice Thursday with a thumb injury and will not play this week.

CAR: Ryne Robinson – He was limited during practice Thursday with a knee injury and it appears that he will be inactive this week.

CHI: Brandon Lloyd – He was held out of practice Thursday with a knee injury and was seen the day before wearing a large brace.

       Marty Booker – He was held out of practice Thursday with a knee injury.

CIN: Chris Henry – Due to a one-week roster exemption, the Bengals are not committed to using Henry immediately following his suspension.

CLE: Donte Stallworth – He said on Monday that he was close to playing last week, indicating that he will likely make his debut after the team’s bye week.

DEN: Darrell Jackson – He was limited during practice on Wednesday with a calf injury and his status for this week is uncertain.

        Cliff Russell – He was carted off the field last week, but did manage to wave to the crowd as he was leaving.

DET: Roy Williams – He did not participate in practice Thursday with a knee injury, but will play this week. According to the front office, the team is not seeking a trade for the disgruntled receiver prior to the Oct. 14th trade deadline, who will be a free agent after this season.

GB: James Jones – He fully participated in practice Thursday with a knee injury and he will likely play this week.

IND : Roy Hall – He did not participate in practice Thursday with a knee injury and is not expected to play this week.

MIN: Sidney Rice – He was limited during practice Thursday with a knee injury.

NO: David Patten – He missed practice Wednesday with a groin injury and his status for this week is unknown.

       Terrance Copper – He was limited in practice Wednesday with a hamstring injury, but should be able to play this week.

       Marques Colston – He will be in a cast for another week and he’s targeting a week 8 return.

NYG: Plaxico Burress – He avoided a grievance with the NFL after reaching a settlement on Monday that will keep his one game team suspension intact but reduces his fine by more than $100,000. He will miss this week for team insubordination and may face further suspension from the league based on two recent domestic disputes that involved restraining orders.

PHI: Kevin Curtis – He was limited during practice with a hernia injury and will likely not play this week.

SEA: Deion Branch – He participated in full practice Tuesday and Wednesday and figures to make his debut this week.

        Bobby Engram – He participated in full practice Tuesday and Wednesday and figures to make his debut this week.

        Koren Robinson – He practiced Wednesday with a knee injury.

STL: Dane Looker – He sustained a fourth quarter concussion last week.

TB: Joey Galloway – He sat out practice Wednesday and Thursday with a foot injury and is unlikely to play this week.

TEN: Justin Gage – He did not participate in practice Thursday with a knee injury and his status for this week is unknown.

WAS: Malcolm Kelly – He participated in practice Thursday with an ankle injury and is expected to be available this week.

SD @ MIA: The Dolphins rank as the weakest fantasy group against receivers and sixth weakest against quarterbacks on a per game basis. They are allowing 191 yards per game to receivers. They have allowed an average of 12 receptions and 15.92 yards per reception. They are tied for the most touchdowns allowed to receivers with eight, on average at two per game. Out of the 10 receivers they have faced, four of them have had five or more receptions, five have had 50 yards or more and four different receivers have had a touchdown reception.

 

PHI vs. WAS: The Redskins rank as the seventh weakest fantasy group against receivers and 10th weakest against quarterbacks on a per game basis. They are averaging 151.8 yards allowed to the receivers. They have allowed an average of 12.75 receptions and 11.9 yards per reception. They are tied with the second-most touchdowns allowed to the receivers with five. Out of the 14 receivers they have faced, five have had five or more receptions, five have had 50 yards or more and five different receivers have had a touchdown reception.

 

DET vs. CHI: The Bears rank as the fifth weakest fantasy group against receivers and 16th weakest against quarterbacks on a per game basis. They are averaging 187.5 yards allowed per game to the receivers. They have allowed an average of 17.25 receptions and 10.86 yards per reception. They are tied with the fourth-most touchdowns allowed to the receivers with three. Out of the 14 receivers they have faced, nine have had five receptions or more, eight have had 50 yards or more and three different receivers have had a touchdown reception.

Out of the eight receivers they have faced, none have had at least five receptions, two have had 50 yards or more and only one receiver has had a touchdown reception.

 

JAC vs. PIT: The Steelers rank as the fifth strongest fantasy group against receivers and ninth strongest against quarterbacks on a per game basis. They are averaging 124.75 yards allowed per game to the receivers. They have allowed an average of 11 receptions and 11.34 yards per reception. They have only allowed three passing touchdowns on the season. Out of the 13 receivers they have faced, four have had five or more receptions, three have had 50 yards or more and only one receiver has had a touchdown reception.
