Week 6

With 83% of the vote, Travis Henry easily beat out Ahman Green and was eliminated from the competition.  Although Green has not had a year worthy of being the #3 pick overall in most redraft leagues, he is still a strong fantasy option.  Whereas Travis has struggled all season and is trying hard to give up the starting job to Willis McGahee.

Curtis Martin continues to dominate in a come from behind win against the 49ers.  Curtis leads the league in rushing yards (611) and is tied for rushing touchdowns (6).  Yes the Jets are 5-0, but take a look at who they have played.  Not to take anything away from Martin’s performance so far, but this weekend he faces the Patriots and his first real test of the season.

Reuben Droughns had another huge week with 176 YDs rushing.  Mike Shanahan will have a difficult decision on his hands, stick with Droughns or give the ball back to original starter Quentin Griffin?  That’s why he gets paid the big bucks.

Now onto the nominees for this week’s Ultimate Fantasy voting.

Current contestant list:

Shaun Alexander      Tiki Barber                         Kevan Barlow

Domanick Davis        Stephen Davis                    Corey Dillon

Marshall Faulk          Ahman Green                     Travis Henry

Priest Holmes           Edgerrin James                   Rudi Johnson

Jamal Lewis             Deuce McAllister                 Clinton Portis

Fred Taylor              LaDainian Tomlinson            Brian Westbrook

Each week we’ll take the 2 lowest fantasy producers based on the Fantasy Sharks scoring system and put them up for an elimination vote.

Up for vote this week is Domanick Davis and Rudi Johnson.

Domanick carried the ball only 10 times for 25 YDs, and then sat out the second half with a thigh bruise.  Jonathan Wells stepped in and rushed for 73 YDs and a TD to help lead the Texans to a victory.

Rudi rushed 16 times for 57 YDs.  Even with Chad Johnson sending packages of Pepto-Bismol to the Browns defensive backs, the Bengals fell behind in the first half and they abandoned the run.

It is time for you to vote, which you can do so here.
