Week 17, the last fantasy hurrah. While some leagues have finished up their season to avoid having to play studs that are rested for the playoffs, others are still looking to see how to fill the void. If you made it this far, congratulations! All of your hard work and ample time spent mocking has carried you to this point. Although most needed some luck to get to this point. The problem this week is not just finding the key match-ups but also to see who is going to play the whole game and which teams are really playing to win. The 1st thing you should do is see which players on your roster are healthy.
Last week was full of injuries to key players and if these individuals are playoff bound then they are not coming close to playing this week. Studs that are in the playoffs most likely will be rested as well. Chances are your not going to be able to make waiver moves so look to your bench and see which players are getting the nod.
This has been an interesting fantasy season. My season is complete as I’ve won championships in two leagues (Mako Shark 4), lost two conference championships and was bounced out of the 1st round in another league. Still I’m proud of how my season went as I’ve never won a championship in any of my leagues before and this year I’ve earned two and almost played for 2 others. I’ll spend the off season looking back at what went right and where I came up short so that I can improve on my 2007 season in ’08. Good luck to those who are still playing. For those who have completed their season, don’t wait until June to start your fantasy season back up because fantasy football is now a year round event.
When trying to decide who should be in your line-ups you need to look at who has been hot at each position over the last three weeks. You must also keep in mind injuries and opportunities.
