Awesome episode.

How many men did Tywin supposedly roll up with? Just bam, battle over? So with him falling back to King's Landing, I assume that leaves Rob to make his way back to Winterfell to deal with Theon.

it was a fantastic episode, almost as i pictured the battle as i read the book. great work in translating the battle to the screen.

in the book it was 100,000 - but seeing as the battle for the kingdom looked to have only a few hundred people it's safe to assume they were very outnumbered.

also in the book - tyrion had set up a bunch of ships filled with magic fire and stannis' inept men (not davos) rammed into the ships. it's just way more complex but for time and money reasons they are ommitted from the show

but basically you noticed that the tyrell's [renly's main army which was not explained so much on the show] are allied with tywin by seeing renly's gay lover enter the castle when cersei and tommen were.

Really? I thought the "battle" was pretty short and not exactly as I pictured. I mean (sea battle aside which seemed to be epic and tragic in the books) Stannis´s men try to break the gate and place storm ladders and then a couple Knights flank them and BAM its all over?

I get that battles are expensive and stuff but this part especially seemed rushed and pretty shortened to me. Anyways the overall quality of the show (especially the character development) makes it easy to overlook deficiencies like this but I couldnt help but notice that fighting scenes always are cut short and kinda "cheap".
