I usually have a bottle of Makers Mark or Knob Creek for regular drinking. Will usually have another bottle on hand for special occaissions. Right now its a Bookers Small batch (I think).
Find a good whiskey bar and sit down and try a bunch.

Whiskey over ice cream, yummy, especially homemade ice cream.
I can't tell you how many times I got drunk on Kentucky Deluxe before I was old enough buy.
