As some of you guys know in here, I got sick about 4 and 1/2 years ago and was undergoing cancer treatment for 14 months and my job closed the dept I ran so I was out of a job when I was ready to go back and couldn't find work so I ended up losing my dream home in Willow Creek Ca and went into bankruptcy in July 2009, we moved to Arizona in Dec 2009, my wife had a job making very little and I had nothing in the works at all and had to actually sit at a gas station in Barstow on the way down as I ran out of gas money and I had all our possessions in 2 rental trucks with trailers that myself and a 18 year cousin loaded up ( we had 4 horses and corrals and shelters) until my SIL showed up and loaned us the gas money to get here.

We were determined to keep our lifestyle of horses/dogs and we rented a 3 BR/2 bath house on 5 acres for reasonable, the house was 7 years old and in decent shape, to make matters worse my Xray license didn't transfer here as it was a California license and for me to get my license renews it was going to cost me 21,000$, so I had to take a job that I had not done in years, which payed about 2/3 what I made in California, so life was tough, My wife got a new job here at the hospital that payed much better so we are now making about the same as we were in California

The Long and short of it was the owner came to us in December and asked if we wanted to buy the house we are in so we looked into it and we got a VA loan at 3.9% and we just closed on the house yesterday, we bought it for 10, 000 grand under the appraisal price and we did not spend a dime out of our pocket, our mortgage is 200$ less than what we were paying rent for the same place, we are home owners again and are back on track, so if you are going through hard times, they do end, I never thought I would be able to be back in control of my life again..just wanted to share that with you struggling sharks...my Wife of 25 years and I have been through hell and back together and we still have our lifestyle that we love, just thought I would share that with you guys
