RICHMOND, Va. (AP)—Virginia State Police say Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle Nate Collins has been charged with possession of marijuana.

State police say the 24-year-old Collins was charged last Thursday during a traffic stop in Fauquier (faw-KEER’) County in northern Virginia’s horse country.

A state police spokeswoman said Monday that Collins was on Route 29 when his vehicle was stopped for an illegal window tint. A trooper detected the odor of marijuana coming from Collins’ vehicle and the spokesman said Collins agreed to allow the trooper to search his 2011 Dodge.

State police said a small amount of marijuana was found. Collins also was charged with a window tint violation.

Collins listed his address as Charlottesville, where he played for the University of Virginia. A listing under his name could not be found.

This is for an incident which happened last off-season. Not sure why its taken this long to come to the arrest, tho ...

As for morons of the week, perhaps time for an old favorite to return?

Ryan Leaf

Dan McLellan, CBS wrote:Former Chargers QB Ryan Leaf (1998-2000) was arrested Friday on burglary and drug possession charges in his hometown of Great Falls, Montana, according to multiple sources. Leaf is currently serving a 10-year probation sentence stemming from a plea deal for similar charges in 2008. Then, Leaf was accused of burglarizing a player's home while he was a QB coach for Division II West Texas A&M.

Charles Rogers too ...

Rogers is facing five misdemeanor charges stemming from two separate incidents. The No. 2 pick of the 2003 draft, Rogers last appeared in a game in 2005. He attempted to come back in 2009, but saw his efforts derailed by two arrests. One month shy of his 31st birthday, he won't be making any more comeback bids.

ESPN 96.1 in Michigan reports that Lions RB Mikel Leshoure is being arraigned Monday in a Berrien County Court on marijuana possession charges.
The arrest flew under the radar, but ESPN 96.1 confirmed Leshoure's arraignment with the court's clerk office. Leshoure has been nursing a torn left Achilles' since suffering the rupture a week into his rookie training camp. The arrest will at least warrant Leshoure a spot in the NFL's drug program. The 96.1 report notes also that this is Leshoure's "second offense" in two months, meaning he's likely headed for an NFL suspension.

Reports are that Leshoure tried to eat the evidence on the second pull-over. :F :F :F

Looks like Lions are selecting a RB in the first couple of rounds for sure.

I would not rule that out. A distinct possibility. Although we perfer our players to smack and choke people. Mostly women.

Leshoure failed to show up for the arraignment. Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free-Press reports that the Lions have been in contact with the police and Leshoure is now expected to be arraigned on Wednesday. Leshoure may face contempt of court charges, according to Julie Mack of MLive.com. via PFT
