Brad Childress has agreed to terms to be Browns offensive coordinator. Has strong ties to that offense and coach Shurmur

why don't they just come right out and say they are going to be drafting RG3?

not a bad hire, btw, if they are going to be running a WCO.

they are. they have. they will continue.

Holmgren said 10,000 times..they are staying the course and not diverting and starting all over.

The WCO was invented by Paul Brown, expanded by Walsh and you see many versions of it. What the Browns have is as close to the original in concept..however here, it's called the North Coast Offense. Same as the WCO..only they dont gain any yards.

Yep just came in to post that. Chilly specializes in mobile QB's. McCoy is not his type of QB. Let the biding war between the Browns and the Redskins begin. Sadly it will take the 1.2 to get RG3 unless the Rams are sold on Kalil. If they are the vikes get that butt load of picks.

I think childress sucks as a head coach but should be decent as an offensive coordinator.

Me thinks he sucks at both. With out AD and Favre the vikings offense would have been dismal.

I hope they re up Kosar to call preseason games on TV. He's halarious, and still genius, no matter how many drinks he's got in him. Plus he did a better job last season not being totally stu-nod by the 4th quarter. Heck, I wish he could get the gig calling reg season games. They should guarantee a stocked bar for him at each kickoff too.

What will it take for the Browns to nab RGIII? Both 1st and next year's 2nd maybe?

Dont know it all depends on what shanny is throwing on the table. might be both first and both seconds.

That would be way too much to move up two spots.

For some reason I see the Browns likely to trade down as well, especially if they don't land RGIII. They'll have Justin Blackmon fall to them at 4 and they could raffle him off and get even more picks.

By the way, the Rams are in the driver seat in this draft. They have the RGIII pick AND the first pick on the second day that they will dangle.

Good hire =D>

To me this screams Evan Moore should be targeted by everyone as their late #2TE.. depending on a few slight variables the kids fantasy stock just skyrocketed. huge... don't underestimate the sneakiness.

It is to much but Redskins will set the value for RG3 seeing the are moving from 1.6 compared to 1.4 isn't enough of a difference so seperate values. Then add the fact if shanny throws out next years #1 compared to the browns offering both number ones this year. Shanny has the leg up on the browns and if the redskins throw out a better deal then the browns the browns will have to over pay. Shanny sets the value.

Also yes the Rams will sell that pick they need DB help and Claiborne will still probably be there at 1.6. If they dont the vikings will. Both teams would prefer to work with the browns but if the redskins offer is better then thats what it is.

There is NO WAY the browns give up the second first to move up.

I read today they want to sign matt flynn so they can use the picks elsewhere. If they could move up for a second or third, I could see them moving up.

I read that today too, but it was some former scout giving his opinion. It wasn't even loosely based on a source or inside knowledge. If we're talking about the same article of course.

Sounds plausible, assuming they can trick Flynn into signing there.
