Yes...he's one of the few remaining single starting RBs in a league that is swiftly converting to full fledged RBBC across the board. The fact that he will be THE guy carrying the ball for a very high powered offense makes him VERY valuable.

Concerning Ridley, quicker and more powerful than the law firm and he has fantastic burst. Actually a better faster model of the firm. Should score dbl digit tds if N.E. uses him the way they used the law firm last year.. One problem, he fumbles, he will be on a short leash if he doesn't correct this. So, he's your typical high risk high return type player. I'm going to take him if he falls to me and fits my draftng sequence at the time. But, I'm a gambler, he's not for the faint of heart. No guts, no glory. :party-smiley-050:

I have a hard time trusting any NE RB.

Which is to say . . . I have a hard time trusting Bill.

Youre not missing anything, he is not THE GUY in NE, and his current ADP says to me to pass up on him right now and take value later on. NE is a passing team and Id say only 3 guys can be counted on for good production week in and week out at their ADP, that is Brady, Gronk, and Welker. Lloyd maybe as well given his ADP but he may be a stretch.

Its a little too high in my book by a few rounds as well. Its great to have an injury free back on your team but odds are this guy will not be a consistent producer of points.

Not that I would support taking Ridley in the fourth...

But BJGE put in 24 TD's over the past 2 years. That's nothing to ignore. If Bill decides the guy gets goal line carries, the guy will produce. Then again, I'm in a TD heavy league, so we're always looking for goal line backs.

This will turn into a chicken and egg discussion.

One school of thought will argue that Bill B doesn't use a bell-cow type of back in their "system". The last 5 years, only 1 time a RB has had 200 rushing attempts.

The other school of thought says that Bill B would use a bell cow back if he had one citing how productive A Smith or C Dillon was....which was a long time ago relatively speaking.

Ridley is the last option on passing plays, assuming he's even a designed option at all. A team with 60-70 RB receptions a year that throws as much as NEP must believe it has better options.

I don't see him having much value in PPR and don't see him getting 1K yards rushing so if you are drafting him in traditional scoring leagues, it has to be on your guess that he'll score 8-10 TD's.

The fact they use Hernandez and Woodhead running the ball tells me all I need to know about relying on an NEP RB.

Well put.

I'm not high on Ridley at all, won't be burning a pick on him unless he falls to me very, very far. Much rather pay a slightly higher price for a guy like Helu or Bradshaw. I'd even rather take Shonne Greene at a similar ADP.

Counting on TDs is a dangerous game.

Give me touches and yards, all day long.

Yep, far more consistent for the most part. Especially dangerous to do w/ a guy like Ridley... there are exceptions though. I've gotten quite a bit depending on TDs outta Brandon Jacobs @flex in years past

Danny Woodhead is still on the roster and will still get his.

The buzz on Ridley revolves around the thought that Shane Vereen won't make any noise, giving Ridley a decent amount of touches on an offense that puts up 30 points a game.
