i'm really not seeing the big deal in what he is saying. i don't see him as saying "i'm rich you aren't" i see him saying "in the end, they are just mad/happy/sad about a game of basketball that doesn't really affect their life one way or the other"

he's right. in the end, if your happiness in life is dependent on the success or failure of another person, you are a loser.

my grandpa, who lived in new york for a long time before moving to florida. he became a big mets fan. he passed that down to my dad, who passed it on to me. hope that clears it up. and before u ask i like philly because i loved mcnabb. he became my favorite player by far, and the entire team got my love.

 im always curious about sportsfans and how they gained their allegiances. I lived in fla for a long time, and met only a few fans of tampa or miami while i was there. Most where from other places and still held their interest of the team they grew up with.

Some of my friends accuse me of team switching fan wise. I'll admit when I was younger I wasn't a team guy, but a fan of players. Ripken/Griffey, Young, Jordan were my guys. I never stuck with their teams though. I was a Rams guy when they were good, mostly because of Faulk. I even have a personalized jersey. My friend always calls me on that. I don't believe you commit to your fandom until about 12-14 though. That's a theory. Being a fan of players doesn't help but you can float until then. Hell I hated Michael Vick and VA Tech and became a fan right before they drafted him because of the Dirty Bird and their playoff run.

Also I'm in VA. We're allowed to be funky. I'm supposed to root for the Redskins but screw that noise.

I find it incredibly annoying how Sports Center has been slobbering over "The Decision" one year anniversary over the last couple days.

And I was watching this stupid DJ remixing LeBron's press conferences into a song, I had to laugh when I heard this.

"No one said it's going to be easy" (after some loss during the season)
"I mean, it's going to be easy!" (At that "look at how cool we are" party when they were all united in Miami)

He played those lines over and over again in the song, really made me lol
