When all else failed, I turned to Fantasy Shark all season.
I finished 3-10 (before week 14).
I found the predictions to be less than 50%.
Who else followed???

I read the forums, checked other sites, asked questions in WSIS, looked at matchups, and made decisions on who to start. Sometimes if I couldn't make up my mind, I looked at the lineup coach. Sometimes it reinforced what I was already thinking, other times it gave me pause for thought.

I think if you expected weekly projections to set your lineup for you, it may have been an interesting experiment. 3-10 is crappy, yes, but how good was your team to begin with? Did you make astute and timely waiver moves? There are 3 keys to fantasy success, in this order IMO: 1) playing the right players, 2) making the right moves during the season, 3) drafting well. Luck is, of course, the overarching factor, but it can be helped with good drafting and waiver work...you can't overcome all of the bad luck, but you can certainly help it out.

I check it out each week for all 3 of my leagues. I don't always follow what it says but I do take it into account when setting my lineup. I finished 10-3, 9-4 and 10-3. Not bad info if you draft well.

If you rely on a forum to set your team up for you then you have bigger problems. You need to do more research and use the lineup coach as a suggestion/guide not a holy grail to follow.

When I use the line up coach I determine my line up then review the coach. If it differs I research the players that are different and make a determination to ignore the line up coach or make a change.

Bottom line, don't use 1 source. Find about 4-5 that you like, check them all out, and then make the best decision possible based on all that info...

I just followed it more so than others.
Yahoo, FG, Roto, etc.
Just kept track on the results of the FS predictions.
Regardless........ I would have finished 3-10 no matter what.
Between Owens (the black cloud), Dallas "D" early in the season, and nothing from any TE I in.
This was not my year either thru draft, waiver, free agent, or trades.
The only good team I have is a NON-MONEY league...LOL

Need to know what you were working with.

If the lineup coach had to chose between Davonne Bess, Nate Burleson, Earl Bennett, Pierre Garcon, Javon Walker, and Eddie Royal to fill out your Wide receivers then it could have been 100% accurate in picking your optimal lineup and you still would lose.

I followed it to the letter every week in my home league and went 13-0. I got a bye this week, but I'll be following it again next week! Their predictions were dead-on!

Thanks FantasySharks! :D

It's fun reading ranking and projections, but why on earth would you ever use them to make your lineup decisions!?!?!?

I do what this guy does, and usually only with my home league. I still make up my mind first, then just get a "second opinion" from the line-up coach.

I use Fantasy Sharks almost exclusively for my info (except for the blurbs about players that are one each league's site like MFL/ESPN/Yahoo). Make up my own mind. 7 Leagues. Am in the playoffs in all leagues that have made it that far (4) and still in the hunt in the other 3.
