Sidewinder were led to their 16 point victory by a 30 point effort from Marion Barber, who snuck past the Philadelphia Eagles defense for 63 rushing yards and 1 rushing td in addition to 51 receiving yards. With this performance, Barber was the number 5 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 2. They also got help from a 23 point effort from Terrell Owens, who got by the Philadelphia Eagles defense for 89 receiving yards and 2 receiving tds.
"Our fans were the 12th man today," Sidewinder coach said.
Komodo Dragons were helped out in a losing cause by a 23 point effort from Frank Gore, who snuck past the Seattle Seahawks defense for 61 rushing yards and 1 rushing td in addition to 38 receiving yards. They also got help from a 22 point effort from Greg Jennings, who beat the Detroit Lions defense for 167 receiving yards.
"Not to take away anything from our opponents, but we didn't play like we're capable of playing," Komodo Dragons coach said.
Compounding the issue, Komodo Dragons could have scored 139 points and gotten the win with their best lineup, but left key players like Chris Perry and his corresponding 18 points on the bench.
This brings the record for Sidewinder to 2-0, and drops Komodo Dragons to a record of 1-1.
Coming up in week 3, the 1-1 ledford1 are at Komodo Dragons, where Komodo Dragons are an early 7-point favorite, while Sidewinder are at the 1-1 Stankweasels 3000, where Stankweasels 3000 are an early 1.5-point favorite.
