Huh?

I've met David a few times and he's one of the nicest guys in the sport. Did he make a good decision? Probably not but lighten up, Francis. His job is to place as high as he can, which he was trying.

And haha at Hendricks teams still 0 fer.

I initially thought it was ridiculously stupid too but after hearing his side it made more sense. The guy couldn't have been more apologetic. They all have different agendas and his was to make sure he stayed in the top 35.

Skip to the 3:00 mark if you want to see his interview.

I see both sides.

This is why they should eliminate the start and parks. A guy like Reutimann wants to run the entire race and has to worry about getting in next week over teams that are going to run 3 laps.

Don't know what the solution would be there - don't know if knocking the amount in the field down would help. You would probably still have the same problem.

If we would have a race without Dale Jr and Dalette Jr the sport would cease to exist.

I'll admit that after I heard his side of the story, I understood why he did what he did and if they engine did shoot off, what can you do. The 48 shoulda pitted there anyway and it woulda been a different story. Least 12 isn't terrible considering...

Dare to dream that C. Montgomery Hendrick doesn't get a win this year.

It would be nice if McReynolds would man up and apologize for being a douchebag with his little tirade, but I don't see it happening.

I guess it's 'laughable' for Little E since he doesn't have a clue what it's like for guys like Reutimann to struggle and fight to keep his job and try to keep his team going.

It says a lot to me that the only person who's actually apologized for anything is Reutimann, who really has nothing that he should have to apologize for.

It's hilarious to me that Bowyer actually said anything at all. If ANYONE is to blame it's Bowyer for sticking his nose under the other 2 guys going into the turn. Seemed that he figured it wouldn't be him that would be wrecked so he drove it where it shouldn't have been.

Not the same scenario but I remember Kyle Petty running for those points to stay above that cut line years ago and Denny Hamlin just basically wrecked his rump being the impatient punk he was back then. He's grown up a touch since and been a little humbled I'd like to think after choking away that Championship.

Like you said pwbowen guys like Little E have no clue what it's like to race with truly inferior equipment and a race car. Some of these teams can't even hang with the 2nd and 3rd tier teams. So yea some of these younger, new generation drivers are spoiled in that sense because they don't know what it's like to have to grind for your supper.

And a big thumps up to Hendrick going 0'fer this year, although do we really think NASCAR would allow such a travesty to happen?
