i'm in this camp as well. i'll barely have enough time to share a team, let alone take on an entire division.

Why not just pick one division and fill that?

Over time im sure well pick up a few more

We've all expressed an itnerest in rebuilding a franchise - so i dont think theres going to be any "No i WANT to be the Colts/Saints" etc etc as i at least would be happy with any name drawn from a hat

One division - from either conference - 4 teams? Easy to fill

Maybe the AFC or NFC North? But any of the other 6 are fine with me :D

Ill let you guys pick the div and let the commish draw names at random or we all seem fairly easy-going and would probably be able to agree between us anyway :)

IF this thing even gets off the ground, there is going to be a massive melt-down at some point, and based on the Balls of Steel League this past season, I have a pretty good idea where the meltdown is going to come from.

There was no melt-down in B.O.S., it was a couple of owners who wanted to change things and complained about everything mid-season, so I stepped down as commish. They are weeded out now and the league will live on. if you have nothing productive to contribute to this thread please leave.

The cap dynamics are very simple in this game. If a team has 20 million in cap space and they sign a player to a 5 million a year deal, the cap space becomes 15 million. I know that's not really how it works in the NFL but I want to keep this as simple as possible. No signing bonuses or any thing like that to deal with.

It's basically just re-signing your own FA's, adding a few as well, plus doing the draft. It's pretty basic really. If we have agents representing the players, it will be relatively simple to do the whole FA thing.

What better place for my 10,000th post!!!

Seriously? The only thing missing was a "I'm MAD AS HELL and I'm not gonna TAKE IT anymore!!!"

No one was "weeded out." People decided that the estrogen was strong in the ironically named BOS league.

Good day, sir!

From a perspective of what I am thinking as being an 'Agent', it would be possible to hold a mini-conference GM system. I would just have to come up with some rules about when a player would not sign with any team (won't play with Favre, hates the uniforms, too cold there, girlfriend in NY, whatever). The teams wouldn't be able to cherry pick all the best FA to make it realistic. Same with the draft and the rookies. Need some off-game influences to help determine who gets picked and when.

If we want to make it work it can in some form.

OK, so we aren't gonna do the division thing. I will finish up the list of owners and teams available cap room here soon!

I may have missed it somewhere, but why are Peppers, Thomas Davis and Matt Moore FA's for Carolina?

All RFA's are going to be UFA in our little experiment to keep it simple.
