Cardinals acquired FS Kerry Rhodes from the Jets in exchange for a 2010 fourth-round pick and a 2011 seventh-round pick. This coming just over 24 hours after Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum stated that Rhodes would remain with the team in 2010. Though Rhodes made news for a mid-season benching, he played well down the stretch, earning his starting job back with authority. Due just over $7 million the next two seasons, he's a cost-effective replacement for Antrel Rolle. Give Cardinals GM Rod Graves credit for nice use of the fourth-rounder acquired for Anquan Boldin.http://www.rotoworld.com/content/player ... 15&id=3316
Kerry Rhodes ripped into the Jets organization Tuesday, calling his treatment by defensive coaches a "slap in the face."
Rhodes accused the Rex Ryan staff of favoring players brought over the Ravens while "fueling" the image that Rhodes was more interested in modeling than football. So much for the classy goodbye. Ryan's defense finished first in pass defense and total points, so it's hard to quibble with his results.
Kerry Rhodes was reportedly unable to fully learn Rex Ryan's defense until the time of his benching around Week 11 last season.
Rhodes rubbed his new coaches the wrong way with a nonchalant attitude and unwillingness to accept responsibility. The Jets were shopping him to multiple teams for weeks before his trade to Arizona, so he wasn't going to be back regardless.
