I'm over it. It's time for him to go. Will be trying this week to trade him for a wr on a bye week. I realize that Hernandez might start opening him up after the good game, but I just don't think that it will be enough. No Moss, no deep threat!!! The only upgrade for Welker after yesterday, is that he can kick a stinking FG!!!!

I'd be more concerned about your running backs.

Traded him for Steve Johnson about 3 weeks ago. Working out nicely.
It's hard to believe how much the NE passing game is suffering w/out Moss.

I'm actually about to trade Brady for Eli.

yea... welker isnt worth anything now that the field isnt stretched. I wouldnt start anyone on their offense except BJGE (maybe) and Hernandez (not the best option but the 2td game was handy)

I played against Welker this week. Needless to say, my three early players (Rivers, Foster, NO def) outscored his entire team (his entire team played at 1pm games). I am so glad I traded Schaub and Colston to get Rivers. Schaub gave the other owner 4 pts this week.

LOL... I laughed when I read the title of this topic. I think it's safe to say that Welker has dropped from the WR1 position and is a spot play at best. Welker has never played without Moss and it's showing. Time and time again he was getting double covered, he was the focus of the defense. I think you'll see more of the same for the rest of the year.

Problem is you wont get much for a trade now. You should have tried trading him right after the Moss trade.

So...why did Wes Welker kick an extra point this week?

Welker might actually be worth something if he becomes their kicker...

Moss made Welker, by draw double/triple coverage deep and giving Wes space to roam underneath coverage.

Now Welker, by drawing double coverage, is making Danny Woodhead in the same capacity.
