Trinidad for 11 days next month. #-o

There are worse places to go. Some of them are even in this country. :D

True.

Lesson learned after my first time there: Trinidad is the industrial island and Tobago is the nice resort island. If you have the choice, go to Tobago. Trinidad is one of the world's largest methanol producers and they're also one of the world's leading exporters of fertilizer, because of that. Fun fact for the day.

For those of you who are geographically challenged like myself at times (in addition to fantasy baseball challenged by the looks of the standings  )

Trinidad is here....

Yeah, I didn't quite realize it's actual proximity to South America until we landed. Last time I went, I was with my co-worker who's from Venezuela. He made some comment about being able to paddle a canoe from where we were to his home. I thought he was kidding. Turns out, it's kinda a problem... people paddling boats across the 20 mile (iirc) or so channel...

Wow, I didn't realize how close it actually was to South America. It's literally a hop, skip, and jump!

What is the temperature like down there? Any interesting customs you have to make sure you abide by?

Temperature is like any other caribbean country really... hot and humid (70-90F) but also breezy if you're close to the coast... makes it nice to relax outside at night time to pass the time. It's not like suffocating South Florida or Texas heat where you're just punished for being outside, even if you're near a coast.

Trinidad runs on "island time" as we were informed after our 8:00am meeting didn't start until around 8:30. We seemed to be the only ones who thought there was a problem. People genuinely don't care if they're late. They give themselves about a half hour of leeway time to make it places... and it just goes along with the whole island cultural mentality. Things are very relaxed. And if you're the one trying to hold people accountable to schedules, you're definitely the bad guy.

Very nice, very welcoming people. It's an easy trip (around 5 hours from Houston non-stop), which doesn't hurt. Absolutely brutal trying to drive, I wouldn't recommend it. Brit style left lane and people don't really abide by traffic rules. The road systems aren't great even thought it's pretty well developed. That was a huge campaign push apparently in their last round of elections... fixing the roads. Serious wild animal problem, we had a pack of dogs attack our car one night, no joke. Amazing KFC there. Truly. Run completely different than the American model. They know how to do chicken, fries & coleslaw, it's a bit of a diet staple.

It's really not a bad place to work... now if they try to send me to Kurdistan... I might draw the line there.

hey guys, looking to deal an OF or possibly a 3B. I need SP, RP, or a SS. Draft picks are also an option. Let me know if you are interested.

Let me take a look tonight. My team is terrible and sadly I have been shorter on fantasy time than I would like, lately.

Need Commish Assistance

Sleepily dropped Fernando Rodney instead of Clayton Richard this morning when picking up Homer Bailey.

Can you please add Royney back and drop Richard please.

Thanks
Steve
