Thanks. I wonder if I'll be forced to hear Bill Walton describe the colors and smells of Omaha or anymore John Wooden references?

I don't know if any other school in a major conference can be forced to admit to one thing that we have to own up to: no national titles in any sport ever. I think there were some titles in women's equestrian or something similar but no one ever claims that.

Wow, didn't realize the bolded. I became a closet The Real USC fan back in 1994 when I worked in Aiken for a summer.

Oh and listening to Walton makes me :pukeright: .

He was coming off pitching on Thursday BTW. Usually those guys get 1 week between starts and I was surprised he threw last night. I expected him to go today.

UCLA certainly helped out with some timely errors.

UCLA's throwing another great arm out there tonight so we'll need some more timely hitting. If Wingo gets a hit in a game (especially extra bases) it's practically a miracle. I literally had just said the guy couldn't hit junior high pitching to the guy next to me in the bar about 10 seconds before he showed me up and hit that triple.

Their pitching isn't as good as Vandy but they've done well with the new dead bats.

i dont follow it much... a few yrs ago because of a pool in here, i started to follow a little more once the world series came around... this year (by chance) i caught some of the regionals....

anyway, i'm bored and looking for rooting interest so, anyone care to make a wager or something on this thing?

Nah, I'm pretty emotionally invested already.

I really enjoy college baseball. The talent isn't the same as MLB but they aren't giant monsters either. They pitch well without just throwing fastballs and have to really work a lot of breaking balls. Defense is pretty good and the new bats don't carry any farther than wood now.

The 4 in the winner bracket have been the best 4 teams all year: Vandy, Florida, Virginia and South Carolina.

I didn't expect my guys to get back to the CWS so all this is gravy. Definitely a lot less overall talent on the Gamecock squad than the other 3.

Were you out there today? I was at the early game with my son, father in law and brother in law.

The new digs are pretty impressive, Rosenblatt will be missed for the history but it was kind of a craphole. TD is everything that the Johnny wasn't. The concourses are great, the bathrooms are nice and the concessions are nice.

Nope, sitting comfortably on my couch. Too far for me from SC.

Glad to see that it wasn't flooded. Did Omaha avoid it all together? Hope so.
