It's a haul for me at 1200 miles and we usually take at least a week's vacation over the 4th, which isn't far off. Besides, if I make plans to come out then I'll probably jinx my team and they won't make it.

Catch that game last night? My guys put it on Florida for a 7-3 win. Some beautiful defensive plays in that game. Marzilli's full sprint diving catch in left center was just amazing!



Now I pull for Kent State to really pull a shocker and knock out Florida. I really don't want to see them again, even if it's with a 1 win advantage.

I was in phx all wk for our nsm so I didnt sleep much at all, but I did catch the first 5 or so innings (before having to crash) It's crazy! I'm actually pulling for you guys. This is one incredible run!

SC is unbelieveable! It's only the 5th in an elimination game but the comeback tells me they are gonna 3 peat!

Arizona is a helluva team though. They were my pick to win it all from Super Regionals early on.

I'm expecting Roth to not be ready to pitch until Game 2 Monday night.

But with this team, you really can't count them out!

I have come to learn that you never count SC out but at 3 zip in the bottom of the 4th, I would sayneven if they win this, SC will win the nex two!

I also saw that SC is the heavy (well slightly) favorite!

Nope. Bad baserunning and a couple gems of defensive plays by Arizona closed that one out. You have to get to the Arizona bullpen if you want a chance to beat them, after the starters they are beatable.

If they beat Roth tomorrow night then they deserve to win. I'm hoping it's Montgomery vs. Arizona for all the marbles on Tuesday!

Congrats to Arizona! Great hitting team and I was surprised with the excellent defense they put on also.

I take consolation in the fact that we beat Florida and Arkansas in the CWS.

As soon as SC tied it up I went to bed figuring there would be a game tonight! I was shocked to see that not only did AZ win but they scored 3 more runs. Did someone hit a 3 run shot?

Anyway, you should also take consolation in that you picked AZ to win it all!

Btw, I think AZ is looking to break your guys WS winning streak!

I don't think that's in jeopardy. AZ's gonna lose some guys to the bigs and they'd have to sweep thru next year and sweep back into the finals to beat the record of 12 straight in the CWS.
