Rams Bring Back Hall

Much like last week on the offensive line, the Rams brought back another familiar face on the defensive line Tuesday, agreeing to terms with end James Hall on a two-year contract.
Hall returns to the team after being released for salary cap relief early in the free agent period. He started 15 games at right defensive end for the Rams in 2007.
The Rams acquired Hall in a trade with Detroit last offseason and immediately plugged him in as a starter in hopes that he could be the complement to Leonard Little in the pass rush.
Hall played most of last season with an ankle injury that limited his burst off the edge and held him to just 2.5 sacks. He added 59 tackles and had 20 quarterback pressures, most on the team.
The addition of Hall gives the Rams more depth at end, a spot that previously had just Little, Victor Adeyanju and Eric Moore on the depth chart.
The Rams are still almost certain to take a long, hard look at some pass rushers in the draft, namely Virginia’s Chris Long and Ohio State’s Vernon Gholston.
