David Tyree-WR-Giants Apr. 22 - 12:21 pm et

Giants WR David Tyree will be out until at least the start of training camp after undergoing knee surgery last week.
This could fuel speculation that Tyree will move to safety in 2008. Tyree, who was on crutches Tuesday, wouldn't reveal details of the surgery. Sinorice Moss and possibly Brandon London could get increased reps at OTAs.

Sinorice Moss-WR-Giants Apr. 29 - 11:29 am et

Giants WR Sinorice Moss says he plans to "shock the world" this season.
At this point, "shocking" would be Moss staying healthy for a three-game stretch. The '06 second-rounder could easily be on the chopping block with Mario Manningham in the mix. It may come down to Moss and David Tyree.

Michael Strahan-DL-Giants May. 6 - 3:19 pm et

Giants LB Antonio Pierce said Tuesday that he expects Michael Strahan to retire.

Strahan said that winning the Super Bowl gives Strahan a perfect opportunity to leave the game on top. He does think that there's one way the Giants can get Strahan to return: "Money talks. Maybe a $2 million signing bonus or something," Pierce said.

David Diehl-T-Giants May. 6 - 3:31 pm et

Giants LT David Diehl recently signed a new six-year, $31 million contract.

Diehl proved he was a quality left tackle during the Giants' Super Bowl season last year. He was under contract with the team through the 2011 season, but that was before he transitioned from guard out to tackle, and he was only scheduled to make $1.65 million in 2008. The 27-year-old is under New York's control through the 2013 season.

The New York Giants recently ripped up OL David Diehl's contract and rewarded him with a new six-year, $31 million deal. Annual escalator clauses could increase Diehl's salaries between $750,000 and $1.1 million a year as long as he plays offensive tackle. Diehl played LT for the first time last season when he moved over from guard.

Mario Manningham-WR-Giants May. 10 - 3:17 pm et

Mario Manningham suffered a hip flexor while running a pattern at practice Saturday.

He says it's not serious and was walking after the injury. Rookie quarterback Andre Woodson, who threw an interception on his first pass of the camp, also left with a sore quad. Manningham is probably stuck as a fourth receiver at best this season.

Jeremy Shockey-TE-Giants May. 11 - 9:43 am et

Giants offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride admits he isn't sure whether Jeremy Shockey will stay with the club this season.
"It's so nebulous right now. I just have no idea what's going to happen," Gilbride said. "Who knows? It's certainly beyond my hands." The Giants are stil unlikely to trade Shockey. He's a good starter and only costs $1.9 million.

SEPTEMBER 14, 2008

ST LOUIS - The Giants still feel at home on the road.

WR Plaxico Burress caught a 33-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter

Playing as visitors for the first time this season, the Giants continued their remarkable success away from Giants Stadium with a resounding 41-13 rout of the St. Louis Rams Sunday in the Edward Jones Dome. The Giants scored 21 unanswered points in the final 7:18 to break open a close game and secure their most one-sided road victory in a dozen years (35-7 at Detroit on Oct. 27, 1996).

Plaxico Burress was fined $45,000 by the NFL for a laundry list of infractions in Week 7.
The list includes verbal abuse of officials during the game, postgame comments about the officials regarding the officials, and hurling the football into the stands after a touchdown. All of that doesn't even include Plax's shouting and cursing at his own head coach during the game.
