A lot of the things that happened in Superbad reminded me of when I was in high school...but then again I went to high school in a college town so my high school experience is likely much different than most of you. The 2nd half of the movie was pretty bad, but I was rolling on the floor laughing throughout the first 45 mins.

The fat kid's swearing was a bit excessive though...although I knew some kids in school like him so I see where the director's were coming from with his character.

x2. The second half of the movie got really old, and Judd Apatow should just stop making movies for a little bit. It does remind me of a couple of nights put together I had in highscool. Without McLovin. Vegas was always interesting.

Obsessive use of the F word never bothers me because I was that kid in high school... And I still catch tihs for overusing it sometimes.

I love it when you guys rate movies. I don't usually see all the trailers and all so I never know what may be good or not. I just added these to my netflix q

vantage point (was already there)
bank job
The sentinel
Eastern Promise.

Watched the trailor for all of them and didn't think Hitman looked all that good so I left it off. Anyone seen it?

Just watched Charlie Wilson's War the other day and thought it was pretty good. We have Black Snake Moan to watch sometime soon.

I'd rate SuperBad and Knocked Up much higher. I think they are both solid B- movies.

I liked that movie as well... in large part because of how accurate it actually was... I saw the story on history channel about a month before I saw the movie and it seemed to parallel what happened very well.

Black Snake Moan was interesting. It has that guy who banged britney spears first in it. It wasn't a good movie, but a new concept i guess, c-. I was intrigued to say the least.

Hitman was your average action shoot em up. It was a lot better than I thought it would be, considering it was based on a video game. It did have some cool sword/knife fighting though.

  I know right? Some of those I probably have seen and just don't remember :)

Anything with Al Pacino I have seen. And when you combine Pacino with Deniro that equals awesome  I own that one.

Reb, just some advice; dont waste your time with Chuck and Larry...I wanted the 90 minutes of my life back after watching that movie. I would move Gone Baby Gone up to the top of your list. Fantastic movie but a bit of a downer to say the least. There was a thread about that movie a couple of months ago which should give you some other shark opinions.
