I'm basically talking to myself at this point... but this kid could be a 40 tater guy at 21. He'll never be pujols in his command of the strike zone (or miguel cabrera for that matter) but he's got a legit shot at Ryan Howard type production in the next couple of years.. 5-10 yrs from now this guy might be the most feared power hitter in the game.

22 bombs with 58 rbi in 348 ab's at the age of 20... whew...

of course there is the chance that he could be the next Chris Davis instead.... But Im glad to take a chance on him in my keeper league.

He's a great option in keeper leagues. In one league I managed to snag Heyward, Stanton, Kemp, CarGo, McCutchen, and Quentin to fill out my OF. Really looking forward to the next few years!

Yeah theres some serious potential there, I guess we will just have to wait and see where he starts going in the mocks, I like him but I'm not sure how high I would be willing to draft him or how much I would pay for him...

He just turned 21 in November so he's still very young.

He'll need to cut down on his K's if he's ever going to be more than a .250 hitter but if he's hitting 40+ bombs a year, you can probably live with a lower batting average.

2011 will be a test for him now that pitchers have a "book" on him. A few sites with projections up have him in the mid 30's HR for 2011. That feels right.

I took Posey/D.Jennings b2b in Sun Soaked and thought long and hard about going Posey/Stanton.

A little buyer's remorse. Especially since I was watching Stanton play here in Jax a lot and could see that 40HR+ potential.

I'm committed to keeping him... hopefully he does me better than the last young guys I committed to (Alex Gordon/Delmon Young).

The good news is that he is a tireless worker, wants to succeed, and has yet to have a season where he didn't improve on the past performance. Consider me cautiously optimistic.

Not to poo poo on Stanton but he could also turn into Chris Davis.

I wouldn't go that far.. But he won't live up to his expectations if he doesn't cut down on the Ks.

I am trying to land the young stud but owner want alot for him and i am not willing to move alot of power and prosect for one.

I wish i knew more on him and what he will be like

Makes it tough but i am not sure he will live up to the hype

Stanton hit a low fastball off Tommy Hanson last night to dead center that I swear never got more than 10 feet off the ground and carried the better part of 400 feet.

Sick power potential.
